I used to swear by Fresh Menu. Being a working professional, with a demanding job that involves working for long hours, I needed a reliable service that not only entailed good quality food at extremely affordable prices, but also timely delivery. Fresh Menu did seem to fit the bill, keeping up on those promises time and time again.

I must confess that I am a foodie, who is always willing to try something new. With Fresh Menu promising a brand new menu day after day, focusing on a wide range of cuisines from around the world(they even had an appetizer whose origins could be traced to New Zealand!), it is no wonder that they could keep my interest for so long until now.

When customers love a restaurant for either the quality of their service or for the way the food is cooked, it is prudent that the restaurant sticks to its winning formula to keep customers interested.

These guys unfortunately have changed the way they cook their dishes, of late. To me, a meal should be a pleasant experience and certainly not a painful one. My mom and I decided to try something new and ordered the Veggie Bean Enchilada, only to have the most unpleasant experience. Can we honestly equate excess spice in a dish to enjoyment? I think not. Dining should be a wonderful and memorable experience and not one filled with discomfort. Perhaps I am one of the few customers out there, who detests excessive spice in her food, but a little sensitivity goes a long way in my book!

I am in no way appealing to Fresh Menu to make their dishes completely spice free. No. That would be unfair to the spice crazed customers. But at the same time, if a menu with excessive spice is what is on the cards, the least that can be done would be to warn customers like myself by putting some sort of spice indicator besides specific dishes, clearly indicating which dish has excess spice and which dish does not, so that spice sensitive customers like myself are saved from an unpleasant surprise upon receiving our orders!
