Image files now a days have become an integral part of the software for home use. We often format our computer and install newer version of Windows. Not only that, those who are into gaming know very well the usability of image files.
There are several file format existing fro image files but most popular of them is the .iso format. It is very simple to use and can be mounted through Daemon Tools or PowerISO in a second. But the problem is, most of us use the popular Nero Burning ROM to write the .iso files in disks. I will be telling about a very tiny but immensely useful software named Free ISO Burner.
So you have just downloaded a copy in form of ISO file of Windows 8.1 and want to create a bootable DVD. Now just forget about Nero. Go to Free ISO Burner website and download the software(it is approx 800KB in size unlike nero which now a days comes with an enormous size installing several unnecessary software along with the original writing software).
The interface is pretty spartan. Actually there are just 2-3 simple steps before the burning starts. Just browse for the .iso file u want to burn and open it. Then select your DVD writer drive after putting a blank DVD into it. Then select the write speed. Here I will recommend to choose a slower speed(8x will be ideal for error free writing) than the max speed. After that, click the Burn button and u are done. Burning process takes some time to start, so please be patient.
This is an absolutely free software. Unlike Nero, there is no irritating trial version and full version conflict. The interface is very simple and the software is pretty cool. The only con that I can tell is other than .iso files, it cant burn any other. But that is justifiable seeing the meager size it has. Use it with full confidence and let me know your experience. For your convenience, u can also find a small Tutorial with Screen shots on in the Home Page of the site regarding how to use the software. Happy burning.
