The original version of in Malayalam already a super duper hit dubbed to the Tamil screens is making all the noises in every Tea shop.
Fashion, Music & culture repeats itself after completing a cycle. If you still wonder, listen to the songs from this movie.
After the infamous voices of the songs ''Kottampatti Rotele'' from Kunnukadi Vaidyanathan and ''Suranganika Malu kanna...'' the latest is the gift of songs from
''Jassie Gift'' what keralites celebrating as a change for monotonous KJ
Yesudas musicals. These songs are definitely a mile stone but Jassie gift
will not make to the destination.
I thought its sheer arrogance when I read in Kumudam Jassie gift is
the new horizon after tiring of KJY. I heard the same from my lot of
friends hailing from the Backwaters. Jassie Gift voice is really tough
to imitate in the so called ''Mellisai'' bands, hence the audio sales in
big boom to hear the ORIGINAL.
Do I like the songs? I liked. Yes they are different to the Backwaters
audience. But it may not be new to the Tamil audience who were used to
such high pitch folk variety.
These tracks are really meant for the youth. The generation at colleges
need new dance numbers every year to look fresh. All the songs qualify
as dance numbers.
I happened to watch the videos Back to Back in channel Sun and Raj TV at
the wee hours when the city is sleeping. You cannot stop dancing.
Bharath and Gopika dances like any student dancing in intra and inter college functions. I guess there is no choreographer for this movie.
Please never attempt to sync the picturisation with the lyrics of the
songs. Even the directors didn't attempt. The songs are not voiced over
with the characters. So why you waste your time! The job is easier for
Bharath and Gopika to dance for the titillating music as it comes to
them. Bharath also looks like a college goer.
The editing in these songs is too amateur to handle.
''Poovale Indha'' has some meaningful lyrics calling to make a vow to
develop a peaceful nation. As usual Harish Raghavendra scores with this
song and tops the rest. ''Lajjavadheye'', ''Annakili'', ''Undhan Vizhimunai'' are the other tracks.
It also has the original title track (For the People - Malayalam title) which has some positive notes. This tells the story is something about group of student rebellions.
Wear a hat as student to enjoy these songs. Off course, dance to them
and make your day... Thillelele Thillelele Theemtha Thagida Thillelele
This is FO(U)R STUDENTS.
PS: Covered in a note book format and priced at Rs.99/ per CD, you will also get a bonus CD, Album ''Minnale'' from Suresh Peters. Minnale was equally good with a variety of songs.
