Introduction: Fossil, a Texas based company, is the manufacturer of my wristwatch, POSEIDON AM-4029. However, I don't see any past that remains in the watch; it keeps moving automatically as long as I ensure wearing it. Poseidon was a mythological greek sea God. As if, this watch is the same! Dial reads 100 M (330 ft water resistant). Mind It! I am not a diver, not even iota of a swimmer has ever been traced in me. So, if I ever die in water, my corpse would atleast have a live and t(K)icking watch, worth watching & worth stealing. Any takers? Its been almost 3 years but it hasn't stopped moving. And, I have grown quite fond of it.
Specifications: A Dial, A Strap, A Key and Three Hand-Indicators. Check the Photos tagged along. Dial is round grey colored. 60 dots, instead of numerals, are etched on an outer rotatable rim of the watch. The entire watch case is made up of stainless steel. Strap is bracelet types which is silver in color. Movement is say automatic, no battery required and no winding need to be done. The function of the small key is to adjust date and time.
Its quite heavy, maybe owing to steel. My left hand feels heavier than the right hand. Need not mention but its an analog display, with three hands/ pointers/indicators moving round and round 24x7.. Is it stange or wonderful! 24x7.. My mind started wandering. Whatever, its beautiful. Also, there are no sweaty green patches. It could be cleaned easily. Wear it to the bathroom!
Recommendation: YES Though its a little heavy but you can manage to carry it around effortlessly.
Moral and Morale: Money is precious, so is the time. Procrastination wastes both. So, watch your action and watch yourselves too. Morale "Kya pata Ek Minute Zindagi badal de!" So, start timing yourselves too.Go for it!
As if someone is buying it: Months back, I checked it on display in Inorbit mall. So, the last known price to me is ~7500 Rs. May be it still exists there. Check out the other options, but my recommendation is that its so reliable that there is 'No' service centre here in Mumbai. They just don't believe that somebody would ask for it. Or, maybe the company shut down after I bought this watch. Some jinx factor!
