I consulted Dr Joseph Xavier for my father in law's heart ailment. Dr asked to go for the angiogram and based on his suggestion, we have taken prior appointment at fortis Bannerghatta for the angiogram. When we came for the angiogram, though the doctor was available, he didn't do the angiogram and left us at the mercy of other staff. They took the patient at 2:30 pm from the ward for the procedure the angiogram was done at 6 pm.
Though the patient was diabetic and on insulin, he was not provided any food till 7:45 pm. When I complained, then they realised the seriousness and acted promptly. Also came to know that the patient asked for a drink as the was feeling uncomfortable as the procedure delayed, they didn't listen. Also they didn't update me about the delay, though I was waiting so long to check the report, they didn't call me to see the report or whether the procedure is completed.
When I tried to check the status inside, one lady who was playing with her kids inside the lab, shouted why I'm inside. When I inquire about the patient status, she said still going on. But I saw the doctor, Shashidhar who did the angiogram leaving the lab, and I asked what's the status. He updated its over already. When I asked why I was not called to see the result, he was answer less and started giving excuses. Though in front of me many called inside to see the results, I was said attendants are not allowed inside to see. I was only the exception. Even after the procedure dr Joseph himself was not available for checking the report even though it was planned. How sincere the doctors and staff here. How they take care of the patients. It's a big question mark. They don't bother whether what's going on with the patient. I Wil not recommend any body to this hospital after seeing this.
