The title of Josh Machine well suits the car. Get into the drivers' seat and feel the punch in the car. No wonder the cars has won many awards. The cars has an amazing second gear pick-up . It has a powerful engine that is imported from the US(Ford is an American company). The body of the car is manufactured in India itself. The car is not too big and not too small. Just the right size for Indian road traffic.
I would recommend a 1.3 for city use. For outstation cruise a 1.6 or better still 1.8 Diesel version would do. The mileage delivered by the car in 6-8 for 1.6 and 9-10 in case of 1.3.
The car sports great looks. The SXi version (1.6) looks best. The cat-like headlights are great. Well almost all Ford cars have the same front appearance. The 2002 model has clear crystal lights. The car also come in a sports version (Ikon Rally Sport).
The car is overall spacious. It has the best legroom in its segment. Boot occupies 400 litres of space. That is ample luggage space when going for picnics or when travelling to a distant place with your belongings.
Improving the looks of the interiors would add to the getup of the car. The silver lining is impressive but is available in the 1.6 , SXi and 1.8 Diesel. Also the green back-light of the dashboard is available only in the above mentioned models. The company fixed music system looks bad and does not have the punch. Well, there are many available outside viz. Pioneer, Blaupunkt, JVC etc. to name few. The car is available in a range of attractive colours.
The car is very good overall. If you want sporty looks and sporty feel, this is just the car for you.
