A good villain is the foundation of an interesting story. Wherever there is a strong villain that gives the hero a chance to conquer greater heights. Harder the challenge, sweeter the win! This is true for Force, which tells the story of another fight between good and evil.
Good and Evil both are daring. One is a phoenix who woke up from the ashes to conquer the world spreading the evil where the other made his body and soul focused. When the drug mafia spread its reach and control, vigilant narcotic officers formed an unbreakable anti force which ruined the network in India. Then there is no death for evil as for good. The more powerful is yet awaited. The fight between good and bad begins. Love and life sail in those rough waters. Watch force you will feel the force of determination and of love.
Force is an out and out -no compromise- action film. From the very first shot it is there till the last. Raw action with power always takes our attention. When it comes with a reason the more we get involved with it. Yes, Force is a must watch for all action movie fans. Then, the romance track though takes a back seat hum the love story sweetly. That makes the film all the more interesting. The first half begin with a strong note but things got settled down and slowly we start noticing the short coming of the film in many of its departments. However, the second half never let us remind about the faults in the first half nor keep a minute to deviate from the ongoing drama and fight. Hard hitting and interesting second half saved the 'Force' and made it as a must watch for many and ok watch for others. The film has the shock value in the second half in some scenes with which the audience are bound to skip a heart beat or two. Director Nishikant Kamatdid a good job in this remake.
John Abrahamgot an extended life with 'Force'. It was nice to see John executing the lengthy action scenes and the romance scenes (though less in space) comfortably. He has worked a lot on his muscles and it shows! Genelia D'souza did the confident lover girl role easily. The Genelia girl is special where her presence spills confidence and innocence in equal dose. Vidyut Jamwaldidn't impress much in the first look but with each passing shot his acting caliber was established and within no time he has emerged as strong villain as a rock. Vidyut is a fine find and is here to stay. Other than these leading three, it is Mohnish Bahl who got a bit extra space which he well utilised. Rest of the cast is adequate.
Cinematography varies from good to very good to excellent. There are some shots which are simply awesome. Most of the action scenes are captured well. Some close ups shots are however not up to mark. The overall affect is very good.
Music is good, not great. Choreography is interesting but don't reach to its Tamil version's standard. Background scores mainly supported those breath taking action scenes.
Editing is faultless in entire second half, but in the first half the pace could have better controlled.
Well executed action scenes worth special mention where it was the backbone of the film. Allan Amin did a good job here. The chase action scene reminded of Aakrosh where the climax scenes were simply breathtaking.
On the negative side, there are lot of cinematic liberty taken in those action scenes. The lack of preparation from the squad even after knowing the seriousness of the situation is a matter of pity. The extra space given by the villain to the hero is questionable. Then, never mind, this is a masala action film and we are used to not asking such 'stupid' questions while watching a movie.
Overall, Force is a quite good masala action film. It is a not to miss kind for action movie lovers and a good watch for rest of the audience. Recommended!
