I am a huge fan of Mario Puzo .....it obviously started with The Godfather n then continued with Sicilian , Last Don , Omerta etc......his writing is just brilliant ......but I had no idea what I was to experience when I brought The Fools Die .....it is unlike any of his books ..... Its autobiographical, its a love story or rather its about infidelity ....but most of all its about life ....u cant fix a genre for this book .... thewriting without doubt has the puzo stamp all over it ....but there is hardly anything about the underworld as is the case with his other books ... one might say its slow ....but then again it just helps u understand the charecters better .........but this is not a book recommended for all ..... hell u might not even like it when ur finished with book ....but as is the case for any great art this one pulls u back ....u will keep wondering about it long after u have read it .....and u would definitely want to read it again .......but its a must experience is all I can say
