Once upon a time Radio was my best companion. It all began with my passion for Hindi film songs, specially the old melodious & ever green songs broadcast over the radio. I still find the Hindi film songs of sixties to early eighties are more attractive than our new songs.

Listening to radio was not a new concept for me. If I walk down the memory lane then I still remember the big radio which my grandfather had. I used to manually tune into the channels and listen to old Hindi songs.

I have very sweet memories of those days. Every song is associated with some beautiful memories. Hats off to those great lyricists, legendary singers and the genuine music composers. Those old melodious songs are still ever green & everlasting.

Last month I was traveling to Mysore with my kids, they wanted to listen new songs, fortunately I did not have any new cd’s in my car. I just tuned FM 94.3 radio one. It was really a joy to listen some of the beautiful old song along with the new songs. Wonderful & well balanced combination of songs. It was a sweet relief, some melodious music that doesn't rattle the car speakers.

The best thing about the FM 94.3 Radio one is the play Maximum music, maximum choice. They do not repeat the songs throughout the day, nearly thirteen old & new mixed songs an hour. Further the listeners can win many interesting contests through the week. The prizes ranging from cameras, pen drives, mobile phones, Bluetooth headsets, shopping vouchers, movie dvd’s, food vouchers and passes for the most happening parties in the city.

It was a three hours journey to Mysore from Bangalore. We all enjoyed three hours of non stop music with very less commercial breaks. Some of the best mix of old & new songs. After a long time I enjoyed listening radio.

From last month I'm in love with the radio again. It’s on in my car and I listen all the way to my office. I appreciate FM 94.3 Radio One for bringing back the good music to radio. Some of the shows are much enjoyable & very informative, they give lot of information about the song, lyricist, the music composer, movie and also about the actors.

Radio One is the seventh radio station launched on August 1 2006 on the 94.3 MHz frequency. It broadcasts for 24 hours around the clock. It is controlled by The Mid-Day Group. FM 94.3 Radio One has seven stations operating in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.

Another added advantage for the Radio One is, it has a strategic alliance with BBC for content. The tie-up gives them the advantage of getting the latest news updates before it reaches any other media in India.

I have missed the old melodious songs for such a long time. Thanks Radio One FM 94.3 for bringing them back. I just want to say that you have the best selection of old & new songs I have heard in recent time. Your station takes me back to the music I love. It is a pleasure to not hear the same new songs four to five times in the same day. I like your play list. There are many more great old songs to play. Please keep expanding the play list.
