Well, just recently the Honor10 smartphone was launched exclusively on #Flipkart on 16th May. Prebookings for the phone began on 16th May itself. The dispatch promise was 23rd May and the delivery promise was 25th May. The offer was a 5k bonus on exchange of your old phone. So, I got a 14.5k buyback offer on my OnePlus 3T which seemed amazing. The phone was costing me only 17.3k. It seemed too good to be true.
Right until the 24th of May, the phone was not dispatched. So, I called the famed #flipkartcustomerservice on 24th May. They claimed the phone will be delivered and to be patient. I called on 25th May again. This time they acknowledged a delay and took my complaint. I kept asking for a reason for the delay. The response was that there is a delay from sellers side. They could not give the reason or could not give an ETA for the product delivery. And so, I kept calling every day until 29"th may asking for a status. This was while they continued selling the phone on their website and some people were reviewing the phone saying they received it.
Meanwhile my bank decided to start billing my EMI. The first EMI was billed.
Finally on 28th May they sent an email saying product delivery might occur by 2nd June. On 29th June, after losing hope, I ordered the Oneplus 6 instead and bid goodbye to loser Flipkart. This simply proved a few things. Flopkart is not capable of handling new launches and fulfillment of pre delivery. Flipkart does not want to commit and deliver on offers it throws that favor the customer. Flipkart also does not have able customer service. They are miles away from Amazon and don't deserve even the business they have. I don't think that the Walmart deal does anything for Flopkart. They will continue to remain a distant 2nd or who knows, 3'rd or 4th. Avoid #Flipkart like the plague friends. Don't fall for their stupid launches and pre-orders. You will only face anguish.
