Hey this category demands a book! I can't do justice to it in some limited words, nevertheless, let me give a try and pick up the juiciest of the flaws (of whatever serials I know):

Kunki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi:

  1. All the characters look the same not aged a bit even after become grand parents and great grand parents.

  2. Mihir, the grandfather is still a hunk. Mira, the lady lawyer is planning and scheming to throw Tulsi out of his life and take her place. Kya choice hai?

  3. Mother kills son (Tulsi kills Ansh). acceptable to an extent

  4. Ganga is married of Gautam, but she is in love with his cousin. So Tulsi get both the heart throbs together.

  5. Gautam marries Karan’s girlfriend (third marriage to take revenge on Karan) and they become a happily married couple.

[sorry I forgot some names]

Kusum (I don't know how it ended! One fine night, found that it is was done for good! Hmmm....)

  1. The mother (Kusum), Father (Abhay), daughters, (Kumud and Kali) all are married more than once. Kya family hai?

  2. Garv is twice married (to sisters). Both the wives left him to get married to a set of other two brothers!

  3. Mahi often refers to Kumum as the middle class woman. What about her? She cames from a village. Infact she was a nautanki waali. Why did not someone remind her of that?

  4. Abhay once had brain tumor and was treated in the US. After that Ahbay is the best of his health without any follow-ups a cancer patient usually does periodically for years. Wah kya reat treatment hai!

  5. Abhay married four times (Kusum, Sid's aunt, Kusum, Mahi). Did I miss any other bride of his?

  6. Kusum is supposed to be a sumangali (that is why she was married to Abhay in the first place and then remarried to him again, to save his life). Then how did Sid (he is her 2nd husband) die?Sochne wali baat hai

Astitva (watched a few initial episodes)

Dr. Simran marries a man younger then her. He drifts away duirng her pregnancy (how convenient). Lives with his girl friend (encouraged by his own mother). He marries a number of times after that, and now I hear he is back with Dr. Simran.

Kashish (picked these points from my review on Ekta Kapoor's serials)

  1. Makeup: Kashish who has been awarded the female style icon has been a widow twice and almost-married twice. She gets a style icon award to play a sad mourning window.

Even during the funeral, she is packed with make-up, hands full of matching bangles, stylish well fit white salwar, well done hair style, not a hair out of place etc. Heavily kajoled eyes. Is a widow in the mental state to do all these. After a while, I think it is acceptable, but.....

  1. Dressing: Characters should be dressed for the role! Kashish is too stylishly dressed for her role and character. I hope she pays a little attention to her acting as she does for her looks! The girls who play her sisters are better actors than her.

  2. When Kashish was married to Piyush, she used to pine for Sujal with Mein Sujal se pyaar karti hoon. When Piyush dies, she longs for Piyush and sings Mein Piyush se pyaar karti hoon 12 times a minute. Then she marries Sujal to take revenge. When she looses Sujal, she whines Mein Sujal se pyaar karti hoon. Then she falls for Tushar...then ....hey wait I am confused.

  3. Lately she into <Meine sirf Sujal se pyaar karti hoon. Uske bina jinda nahi rah sakti Then what the hell is she doing? She should have dies ages back (common sense says so). Sirf Sujal? What about Piyush before that? I thought I was confused.....but what a confused character Kashish is. Does not even know for sure who she loves...

  4. Tushar lost his memory and is brought to Simla by the lady doctor (forgot her name). Now, he is staying in a separate house which is so huge. Now how the hell does he manage that? Where does he work? He is forever running to help Kashish. But still manages to keep a well a huge house and a car and all the lavish things. Wonder why I am not able to do it!

Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin

I can go on and on with this one……to start with Jassi and Armaan, both recently won the best actor’s award. It was a BIG insult to all the other wonderful actors. I feel that both are over rated actors. Can’t act for nuts! Here are a dozen of the juiciest flaws, picked without any effort :)

  1. Jassi was a girl of simple values. She was intelligent, logical, practical, and wise from a simple middle class family (everyone could identify with) who valued their izzat and cultural values. All these changes at the drop of a hat. Reson? Jassi's make over! Does change in looks change the core value of a person or the family for that matter? Tch tch!

  2. Jassi walks off from the engagement ceremony (what great values she has) and her parents are not disturbed by her behavior.

  3. Jassi wants to make Arman jealous (ugh-ugh). (Wasn’t she supposed to be an intelligent female). And to think that the ugly ducking really thinks that she can make Armaan jealous. it is another thing that it happened

  4. Jassi shows off Nandu as her boy friend. Why not Purab? (Nandu mein kya hai jo Purab mein nahi hai? Wonders. Anyways how does this make her any different from other girls? Why the title ---Jassi Jaisi Koi nahin?

  5. At Mauritius Jassi is annoyed with Purab for leaving her. How could she? What right does she have? She dreams of Armaan, leaves the engagement ceremony, does not apologize, and is annoyed with Purab for leaving her? this female is a hypocrite to the core.

  6. After the make over, her parents don’t mind her being away from the house with Armaan the whole day and night (where is their izzat wala dialog?). Earlier, the father would have made a scene!

  7. The story claims that Arman and Jassi are madly in love. I as an audience has never felt the feel of love or passion between them. There is not chemistry between them at all You feel more for Tulsi and Mihir, even though they are grand parents, and you long for them to be united.

  8. Arman proposes to get engaged in Amritser without the presence of his parents and Jassi’s parents allow that. Values and customs gone for a toss.

  9. Jassi forgets all those who stood by her when she was in need. She has been shown pining for Armaan and grinning like a fool and weeping like an idiot. Hey girl, have you misplaced your grey cells somewhere?

  10. Jassi doesnot have enough money to fly to Amristsar (what the hell did she do with the crores of rupees she made as a super model and being the brand model for Gulmohar as Jassica Bedi?).

  11. Jassi lives in Karan’s house, uses his vehicles to roam around, his money to buy all the thing she needs, wears designer wear clothes (check out her sarees and blouses), but still tells Karan that she wants to do things on her own and does not want his help. Oozing with hypocrisy isn’t it?

  12. Jassi is dying to get married with Armaan. Is he divorced as yet? She, infact Armaan gives the news to her parents on phone…. All family ties gone for a toss?

Do you want me to continue? If yes, I shall. Let me take a break as of now.
