Five films which shouldn’t have been flops
1) Janne Bhi Do Yarron
one of the most brilliant movies to have been made . the story screenplay is brilliant. The dialogues amazing. The acting what to say totally par excellence .
naseerudin shah and ravi baswani as the two photographers suit the role to the core.
Om puri and pankaj kapoor as rival builders are brilliant , satish shah as the police head and as the dead body was the best. The other actors like satish kaushik and neena gupta are perfect for the role so is bakti barve as the press editor and her underhand.
The direction by kundan shah is just too good. scenes which stand out are
The mahabhart scene on the stage (find a more funnier scene)
The telephone scene in the room with naseer and satish
The time magazine reporter scene
2) Golmal
well u wouldn’t belive this but this movie was a flop when it was released. I know when we watch it today it’s a complete laugh riot
the story and screenplay are comical and fast
the acting by amol palekar as ram prasad and lakshman prasad well what to say just too funny,
utpal dutt just brilliant , bindya goswami fits the role as utpal dutts daughter , so does shobha khote as his sister, other creditable performance by phatakh who plays the role of amol palekars mother
hrishikesh mukkherjis direction is brilliant , gulzars lyrics are superb.
Scene which stand out are the interview scene of amol palekar and utpal dutt
The car chase scene then the police station scene. And many more
3)Sadma
kamal hasan as an actor is well known but this movie is what clarifies him with all the other best .this movie cannot be told what it is about but a very heart felt and warming film.this not only has the genius of kamal hasan but also the gretness of sridevi as an actress as an mentally challenged women one of her best performance.
Also gulshun grover as the bad villain is really to the point. And the sex siren smita has also acted well
Sorry I don’t know the director of the film .

4)Andaz Apna Apna
this low budget comedy directed by raj kumar santoshi one of the all time great comedies was a not a big success .
the story and the screenplay is laugh a minute , the dialogues are chirpy , the physical comedy is too good,
the acting well
aamir as usual is brilliant as the more street smart
one of salmans well acted films as a dumb guy
paresh rawal as teja and ram bajaj is par excellence
the actress raveena and karsima are ok to their role
shakti kapoor as goga is really good
scenes which stand out
salman and aamirs meeting in the bus
the mohan bagan match with the cold drinks
the confrontations of paresh rawal as teja and ram bajaj

5)Kala Bazar
one of anil kapoor and jackie shroffs movie about how money can buy anything .
its about corruption how it rules the society .the movie is a bollywood movie like songs and all the masala stuff but has got the message on corruption a good story and good dialogues
acting wise anil and Jackie are good
the heroines kimi katkar and farah are good for their role
but the acting of kader khan is superb and tell u he has written the film the screenplay and dialogues
I don’t know abt the director but a good movie to watch and good music too

Well these are few of the movies which shouldn’t have been flops
The other which I have heard abt but haven’t watched but will surely make an effort to watch them in the near future are lamhe, meri jung, saransh, raakh
There are lots movies such as chasme badoor, khata metha, a lot of art films which have been flops
But what can we say when movies like mhuje khuch kehna hai , khao na pyaar hai become hits …..
And masterpieces like the above mentioned are not liked
