So after over a month’s long absence at MS I am finally back on track here…although this time I will more RRC rvu’s then write here but I will write once in a while. After all I can’t see MSians bear the torture of reading my reviews. Anyway it had been a long time since I wrote on best movies of any actor so I thought I’ll make my comeback here by writing about the best movies of one of my most favorite actors.

Sanjay Dutt-not an unkown name in Bollywood; known better for his off screen touts then his performances in films. But the recent years for him as an actor have been well specially after Vaastav where he seriously became noticed as an Actor. Sanju baba started his film career way back in 1981 when his father made Rocky. Then came some of his good films some bad films never noticing Sanjay Dutt as an actor. But he made his presence felt in Naam and then later the very famous Khalnayak—and the real life controversies. But then leaving past behind he bounced with Vaastav—one of the finest made movies on the underworld. Anyway here goes my list for his best movies:

1.Vaastav-1999

Well arguably his best movie till date. Hardcore performance and perfect resemblance of a Bhai in the movie made it worth watch. Although the movie had much violence not quite acceptable by all the pillars of the society but his acting, dressing and his personality really made this movie awesome. Director Mahesh Manjrekar also deserved a pat on back. A well made movie. The movie had a sequel named Hathyar but it had too much of violence in it.

2.Munnabhai M.B.B.S-2003

So who said Sanjay Dutt can’t perform comedy roles. One of the biggest hits of 2003, Munnabhai M.B.B.S had Sanjay once again in a “Bhai’s” role but here he was a good Bhai. He did work which he called “Social Service”. Well a great comedy directed by debutant director Raj Kumar Hirani. I must say Sanjay shares a great rapport working with first time directors’. And what’s more the movie is going to be remade in Hollywood. That’s some news.

3.Aatish-1994

Well this movie might not have been liked by many. It also bombed at Box-office. One of the early movies based on gang-wars. This was a hardcore action movie and Sanjay played once again a “gunda” type of role. The movie also featured Aditya Pancholi who did awesome work as well with Sanjay. Great movie and in my opinion was a deserving hit which it didn’t become.

4.Khalnayak-1993

I loved to hate Sanju in this movie. Because he was a real Khalnayak in this one. Subhash Ghai’s controversial movie which had Madhuri (Choli ke Peeche Gal) and Jackie too in it. After this movie Sanjay was given the image of real Khalnayak. He went in Tada behind bars and had many controversies surrounding him. In my opinion this movie was his first turning point before Vaastav where he got much appreciation for his negative role.

5.Jodi No.1-2001

Although Govinda ruled in this movie but Sanjay also did a great job in this one. The pair was repeated after Haseena Maan Jayegi which was also another laugh riot and this one was awesome comedy. Sanjay and Govinda overshadowed every one in the movie and it was a good time pass.

Oh! I am at ending my review. This is one of my shortest rvu’s here. I would have included Sadak but it was Sadashiv Amprapurkar’s movie. On the other hand I would also have included Dushman but he had just and guest appearance in the movie. But I seriously wanted to include Mission Kashmir because in my opinion his role in this movie was one hell of a serious role. But I guess Hritik’s role was more than dominating than Sanjay’s and hence I slipped it.
