So, before writing this review, I though I should clarify that I didn't watch much of the 90's movies. So you won't find actresses like Meryl Streep, Audrey Hepburn, Jodie Foster etc. in my list. Frankly speaking, I didn't watch their movies because most of them made movies before I was born.
And here goes my list :
(1) Kate Winslet : Kate Winslet is one of the most beautiful actresses of Hollywood and occasional singer. She was the youngest person to accrue six Academy Award nominations, and
won the Academy Award for Best Actress for The Reader in 2008. She has earned a total of six Academy Award nominations, nine Golden Globe nominations, and seven BAFTA nominations. Winslet began her career in British television in 1991 and made her debut with the movie heavenly creatures in 1994 and got recognition and praise. Winslet was awarded a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children in 2000.

(2) Reese Witherspoon : Reese Witherspoon, is an American actress, film producer, and television producer. Witherspoon landed her first feature role as the female lead in the film The Man in the Moon in 1991; later that year she made her television acting debut, in the cable movie Wildflower. In 1996, Witherspoon appeared in Freeway and followed that appearance with roles in three major 1998 films: Overnight Delivery, Pleasantville and Twilight. The following year, Witherspoon appeared in the critically acclaimed Election, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
Popular Movies : Walk The Line, Water For Elephants, Election etc. My personal favorites are Sweet Home Alabama, Vanity Fair etc.
(3) Rachel McAdams : Rachel Anne McAdams is a Canadian actress. After graduating from a four-year theatre program at York University in 2001, McAdams initially worked in Canadian television and film productions such as My Name is Tanino, Perfect Pie (for which she received a Genie Award nomination) and Slings and Arrows (for which she won a Gemini Award). Her first Hollywood movie was the 2002 comedy The Hot Chick. McAdams found fame in 2004 with starring roles in the teen comedy Mean Girls and the romantic drama The Notebook. In 2005 she appeared in the romantic comedy Wedding Crashers, the psychological thriller Red Eye, and the family drama The Family Stone. She was hailed by the media as Hollywood's new "it girl" and received a BAFTA nomination for Best Rising Star.

(4) Anne Hathway: After several stage roles, she started her acting career in the 1999 with a television series Get Real. She worked in several famous films like Havoc , Brokeback Mountain, The Devil Wears Prada, Becoming Jane etc. She also starred in super hit films like Valentine’s day and Alice in wonderland. In 2008, she got recognition for her lead role in Rachel Getting Married, for which she won awards and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. People magazine named her one of its breakthrough stars of 2001, and she first appeared on its list of the world's 50 Most Beautiful People in 2006.

(5) Nicole Kidman Nicole Mary Kidman is an Australian-American actress, singer and film producer. Kidman's film career began in 1983. She starred in various Australian films and television productions until her breakthrough in the 1989 thriller Dead Calm. Following several films over the early 1990s, she came to worldwide recognition for her performances in Days of Thunder (1990), Far and Away (1992), and Batman Forever (1995). She followed these with other successful films in the late 1990s. Her performance in the musical, Moulin Rouge! (2001) earned her second Golden Globe Award and first Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. Her performance as Virginia Woolf in the drama film The Hours (2002) received critical acclaim and earned Kidman the Academy Award for Best Actress.

So, here was my top 5 list. Others following the list would be Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Charlize Theron and Jennifor Aniston.
