I have been using a Garmin Vivosmart HR for almost a year now & figured that its time for an upgrade. This product fit the bill near perfectly. I have been using it for the past 2 weeks for here is my quick review to help potential buyer make an informed decision.

What is it good at:

  • Good color display which shows a lot of helpful information at a glance

  • Descent battery life. Lasts me usually for a tad over 4 days. Which is almost as much as the Garmin Vivosmart HR(which has an monochrome display)

  • The continuous HR monitoring is pretty good. Actually, its better than the Garmin surely.

  • The Fitbit app ecosystem is way better than that of Garmin's which makes ownership a pleasure to the eyes

  • Comfortable to wear. No skin irritation thus far

  • After the SW update, it offers haptic move reminders every hour. Somewhat similar to the garmin which pushes you to move every hour.

  • Easy upgrades. Straps, frames etc. After market accessories add more color to your style statement and don't cost as much.

What's not so-good about it:

This is far from being a perfect product. And does come with its shortcomings.

  • Not water proof. No swimming.wait isn't that a fitness activity to begin with? And this being a fitness tracker; cant be used for that! Duuuuhhhh.

  • The charging cradle is kinda weird. You need to to keep poping it out of the strap & frame every 4 days to recharge. Not complaining here - just something you need to get used to.

  • Kinda makes your watch redundant. Means, if you wanna wear that fancy watch to the party, it might look awkward with this on your other wrist because it appears like you are wearing one on each hand.

  • Not so good to measure weight training. Its kinda spotty with gym workouts. But then so was the garmin.

Overall happy with my purchase thus far. I got it for 12k around the Great India Sale. That's almost as much as I would have paid in the US for this product.
