There is a very popular saying in hindi.Jab geedad ki Maut aati hai toh woh Shaher ki aur bhagta hai.I hope I got it right.
I apply this proverb in this review to Shahrukh Khan. Success it seems has finally gone to his head.naaah I think the recent spate of his unsuccessful films have gone to his head. He may be rich where money is concerned, but is poor as far as a human being is concerned. I say this because I have been reading lately of his achievements outside the film arena. That of bashing up Shirish Kunder, his fight with Salman Khan, his best buddy Farah Khan and then his rumored liaison with Priyanka Chopra.
Kya kya nahi karte yeh sitaaren, to be in the news and Shah Rukh too Publicity ke liye Kuch bhi Karega even if it means insulting people in a public forum such as the Film Fare awards night. He was downright rude starting from his co-host Ranbir Kapoor to Anu Malik. The guy thinks he is a cut above the rest and hence has the right to insult anybody he chooses to.
When he announced deepika would come to perform, and Ranbir sat down on the stage, he told ranbir woh din gaye jab deepika tumhare saamne naachti thi.man that was a below the belt blow. He did this many a time during the hosting when he passed snide comments on Ranbir Kapoor's private life. I don't think it is SRK or anybody else's business where Ranbir chooses to sow his oats. When it came to giving the best costume designer awards, it was won by the lady who did the costumes for The Dirty Picture. She accepted the award and in her speech she thanked Vidya for allowing her to undress her to which SRK commented we too are thankful to vidya for undressing for us. How Cheap.
He was then swooning about various actresses one of them being Kareena Kapoor and when Ranbir said he cannot fantasize about her as she is his sister, SRK rejoinder your bad luck you cant, but we can. How Crass. I wonder how SRK would feel had Ranbir said the same about his daughter.
Grow up Old Man and be a Man for a change and take failures on the chin rather than hitting out at others for your failures.
