In ''Filhaal'' the happy and sad moments of life are shown in 4 characters Rewa(Tabu) Dhruv(SanjaySuri) Sia(Sushmita Sen) and Saahil(Palash Sen).''Filhaal'' is made up of these moments only.
Rewa and Sia are the best(est) friends.Rewa gets married to Dhruv but Sia gives importance to her carrier and denies to marry Saahil for a short period.Son Rewa becomes pregnant but a miscarriage happens. After some time she again becomes pregnant but doctor says that becoming a mother is a risk for Rewa so they decide to abort. Her dream of becoming a mother and leading a family life gets devastated and ger life becomes a sad story.Seeing the condition of her friend Sia takes a bold decision with the permission of doctors to grow the baby of Rewa by transplanting the fetus to her womb
At this juncture the lives of all 4 characters take a dramatic turn. The end is as always a happy ending.''Even if life is happy and wonderful externally there can be many shades of sorrow in it '' is the point that Meghna Gulzar has tried to show in this film.
The main fault of this film is that the characters cannot be understood by us in some scenes mainly because of the ill-placed songs in the second half and weak script.the acting by all actors is natural. The cinematography by Manmohan Singh is also very good.
If you are comfortable with slow pace and a new topic which handles social issues which have never being seen before then there is no harm to watch this movie
