Well, just few hours back, I watched "Ferrari Ki Sawari", and my one word for it was WOW!, its a perfect weekend family entertainer with a feel, love and full of ambitions. A must watch, for family. And its based on the thing which some movies already covered, and it mixes the theme of father-son relationship with it. The producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra has given us many great movies like Parinda, 1942 A Love Story, Kareeb, Munnabhai, Parineeta and 3 Idiots, and here he's back with one more gem of a movie, which is directed by Rajesh Mapuskar.

DO NOT READ THIS PARA IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY THE MOVIE. Well the story runs on quite a similar track of 'Iqbal'. But here's a touch of Ferrari to the story. Kayo (Ritvik Sahore) is one of upcoming cricketing talent, who is just 12 yrs old, and he has full support of his lovable and cute-looking-cutely-smiling father, also a head clerk at RTO, Rustam (Sharman Joshi). He is captain of his team, but his grandfather hates cricket, because cricket shattered his grandfather's dreams of doing big. His grandfather Debu (Boman Irani) was a great player and his own friend has shattered his dream of doing big for Indian Cricket Team, His friend Dilip Dharmadhikari (Paresh Rawal) is now BCCI's chief. There is a cricket camp, from which a MCG personnel will select best 16 players and will take them to Mecca of Cricket, Lord's. But the fees is RS. 1.5 lac, and this middle class RTO clerk Rustam don't have that much money. He had never done any wrong thing and is an ideal person, and also given same teachings to his son as well, even when he mistakenly jumps a traffic signal, he himself goes to a traffic hawaldaar to pay the fine. He got a offer from a marriage-arranger (Seema Pahawa), that if he arranges a Ferrari for one of her client's son's marriage just for few hours, a corporate big politician type of person, she will give him 1.5 lac. And there's only one Ferrari in whole India, the one gifted by Michael Schumaker to the God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. Rustam got hold of Sachin's Ferrari, and bring it to the marraige, without anybody else's noticing this. And then what else happens is remaining movie, which goes on for 2.5 hrs.

Well, as per the dedication given in the last, this is a dedication to God of Cricket Sachin from Vidhu Vinod Chopra, but don't expect to see him, he's not given any friendly appearance, only his Ferrari is used in the film, the red-coloured gifted Ferrari. The story is on the track of Iqbal but something extra special was here, as written by Rajesh Mapuskar, VV Chopra and Neeraj Vora. It's not a comedy movie, a well-thought family movie with drama and pinch of emotions and love. It's a story of not only cricket but a story of Father-Son's relationship. We have seen many Father-Son's movies, but in all those movies, somewhere somehow, some differences comes in between father and son's views, but here it's all love, not a single moment was there which shows any drift between the two. A wonderful and lovable role is played by Sharman Joshi, he's a brilliant actor, and looks a cutie-pie DAD, he always smile, even when he has to struggle with his middle class life to arrange basic amenities for his child. The movie has strictly shown the exact rules which should be follows, means good manners, so it is a must watch for every child as well as adults alike. Equally acted by Ritvik, he has a talent, and can go big, he somehow had a look of Sachin. Boman is too marvellous as a shabby-dressed and lazy grandfather who does not have anything to do except always saying against his son. There's are 2 more story going with the main story, one of Corporator's son's wedding, where all the characters acted well, and other's of two guys, the security man and Sachin's house caretaker's who are looking for the lost Ferrari. Both stories somehow seems far too fetched, far too elongated, which can be reduced, and was even not required that much in the plot. This made the film lengthy, but I was thinking it other way, I wanted the movie to be present as a serial, because I want to watch it more. Background score (Tapas Relia) was good, and seems like a fantasy movie's score, suited well to the well-woven fantastic story. There are 3 songs in the movie - "Maara Re" (written by Swanand Kirkire) sung wonderfully by Sonu Nigam and Rana Mazumdar, and it sets the tone of the movie. Other was Vidya Balan's item number "Mala Jau De", sung by Urmila Dhangar. 3rd was the title track "Ferrari Ki Sawari". Music is given by Pritam, and it is good. One more song whose only some part was there in the movie, looks melodious, "Good Night".

I must say that after a long time I have watched a good family entertainer, which is though not comedy but has all the feels of family bonding. And it's a perfect weekend movie. Go and watch it with your whole family including Kids. It's about a father's love and God's Ferrari. HAIL SACHIN! My Take 4.5/5.
