Hello,
I recently purchased a Eureka Forbes Water purifier via amazon and was very happy with the product till the time it was time to install it.
The technician who came to install the device wasnt the one whose name was sent to be by SMS.
By just looking at the water pressure he said that the pressure is too high and we need to install a Pressure reduction device. He did not even check the actual pressure using an instrument or anything.
He mentioned the cost of the same is Rs. 850/- but he will only give a bill of Rs. 600/-. This sounded very fishy to me but I still had to go ahead because I was in office and did not have time to argue with the technician.
The device was installed very loose and wasnt even fixed to the wall or anything. So I hope that does not affect the life of the device.
When I gave feedback to the customer service team, they promised to look in to this and get back to me but it has been over a week but no one has bothered to get back. I was sure that no one will contact me and that is what actually happened.
The customer service lady who called me was completely clueless when I asked her what is the rated pressure rating of the device and why was I charged 850/- and given a receipt of only 600/-?
What I am most surprised with is that a large organization like Eureka Forbes indulges in such petty things to earn money. The device is question costs not more than 450/- in the open market and Eureka Forbes charged me Rs. 850/- for the same and in that too they were shameless enough to give a receipt of only Rs. 600/-. Sounds like a scheme that petty thugs would indulge in but I am disappointed to see someone like Eureka Forbes do this.
While I have been duped, I hope this review helps other customers to be better prepared
Thanks and Regards,
