I have been teaching with Eon from past 3 years.
Eon Education is a fine tutorial company. They do track teachers and their attendance and sometime it is inconvenient for the teachers.But this is what they have promised to the parents and it is their job. Regular tracking tends to bring quality in the tutorial and makes teachers more alert.
In my association with Eon, I experienced the following:
They dont cut any commision from tutor's salary. Payment is directly from the parents thus keeping teacher motivation up.
With parents they charge tuition management fee which includes general management, tuition tracking and replacement guarantee of the teacher for the said period of time.So the payment is transparent, straight forward and convenient.
They harrass teachers by frequent calls to find out what is going on in the tutorial.Questions like "Are you conducting exam?", "Did you miss any class?", "Are you facing any problems?" are quite common week after week. Since many teachers teaching at Eon are also teaching in schools and colleges, such calls during the class hours tend to disturb teachers a lot.
Some of the recruiters of Eon lack softskills.They are very blunt with the teachers with sentences like "If you want to teach it is fine, else I have another teacher for this assignment.". On further enquiring, Eon recruiter boasted she has 10000+ teachers and can recruit another teacher if I am not willing to. There is ZERO scope for negotiation with them. Forget about increment on any predecided salary.
