Gall Mall - EOM for All!!. Review on Employee of the Month

One of the most eagerly awaited award for internal communications, HR exercise for employee benefits that get attached to his personal file for bigger benefits.

This is by far the most cliched comedy that I have witnessed ever!! **Complete with double innuendos, lot of GALL at the MALL with literal fun for ALL!! Amazing script, good performances, lesser known actors except for Jessica Simpson who manages to look both interested and uninterested, Hot & Not and the bloody script... Its Fun - a - Ton!!

Director Greg Coolidge;

*Except for Queen Of The Day, EOM and yet to be released COXBLOCKER, his filmography as a Director is not much to speak of!! As an actor in Sorority Boys, Queen of The Day and a few TV series, he had the GALL to go to a MALL and Create fun for ALL!!

*I would say that this funny movie has one BIG flaw; Actors. They are lesser known and do not contribuite to the zany value of the script and hence does not justify it and hence was probably not even distributed in India!!

Like I said before, except Jessica none other actors are that recognisable at all. But the amont of spark they try to put in is commendable!!

*Story

It all opens withVince, (Dax Shapard),  being felicitated for being the"Employee Of the Month (EOM)" for the 17th consecutive time!! One more and he has the chance to win theMustang of his dreams which is far better than the 1981 HONDA that he owns so proudly. There is Zack, (Dane Cook), who is a roller skate "Box Boy" in charge of the corrugated boxes supply in this SUPER CLUB store.

Enter the barbie doll of all gals Amy, Jessica Simpson. Zack is not only stunned by this beauty but also tries to get in his introduction to her. With his band of boys, Iqbal (Brian George), Lon (Andy Dick) and Russell (Harland Williams), they do a back check on this chick to find to their utter dismay that Amy falls only for the EOM's!!Now starts the funny and entirely slapstick ritual of Zack v/s Vince to outdo each other in a very cliched tone of verbal innuendos. Vince infact racks up 5 dates consecutively for his gold star on the current calendar!! Zack takes the sixth and a seriously funny tussle begins!!

It further heightens when the Store boss', Glen (Tim Bagley) learns of his midget but wild brother Glen Ross' (Danny Woodburn) visit to the store for a surprise audit!! The histrionics of Vince with his Bag Boy are worth watching!! Everytime he times himself in front of a gorgeous woman and with a impressive act of jugglery, he attends to all the articles on the counter and even manages to beat the time with a well aimed barcode gun at a very far section of the product counter to flick back on the dot with the money the customer needs to pay!! **Vince even cracks the first date with Amy and tries to make Zack jealous with the hot description of his fist kiss which never takes place!!

The scene between Zack and Amy on their first date is shot with little novelty, as he takes her on the tour of the store itself and has a very romantic outing with her to sufficiently impress Amy. with his confidence being on the up he even gets to enact the Cashier job and does a very shoddy job of it and yet manages time!!

*The Baseball act is really worth the whole party!! And the underdog Zack has to be in the midst of it to win it for the SUPER CLUB STORE!! Heard it before?? But the dialogues will make you laugh for sure.. Does Zack win the EOM?? Does he get to bed the gorgeous Amy??

Well find out for yourself.. I did and I quite liked it :))

You see some films are very ordinary yet there is a quality in them which tells you that yes the attempt was good and it was worth the pain the actors have gone through to make you feel happy and good!! The end I felt was too cliched but inspite of that through the film you feel for **Zack as he is the lovable underdog who has decided to take on the mighty Vince for the EOM!!

*Watch it and come out feeling refreshed!!

There is an awful lot of camaraderie between the actors as is seen from the effortless acting that you find on screen. Cinematography is not much to speak of a the only location used extensively is the Store and its interiors!! I would still recommend to watch it for its freshness and very in your face comedy complete with double entendres!!

It is surprisingly short and I liked it particularly because the Director did not run into minutes before breaking the climax!!
