We have purchased Elica SPOT NG 60 cm EDS P.B. S.S on 11/12/2016 in Bengaluru India from IHB Enterprises . Within 13 months and few days the mesh of the filter came our of the RIM during routin Cleaning of Filter .


We have registered a complaint with Elica Service centre on 2nd  Feb 2018 . The complaint number isuued is 99_523387


They promised to send the Technician on same day or next day however they could manage to get the call attened only on 4th Feb 2018 through one of their Franchisee Go Service . He took the pictures of the filter and send it to his Manager and informed us he is not carrying the adhesive and will get it issued from his office and come again next day to fix the mesh inside the rim.


Despite commiting to visit next day no one turned up for 5 days & we were forced to call again on Elica toll free number . Once again a new Technician  came on 10th Feb 2018 took the pictures, send it to his manager and promised to get the filter replaced.


When no one turned up, I once again called up on toll free number & give my piece of mind to the Manager on Floor. He promised us to speak to the Franchisee and get this addressed on priority. However nothing happened for next one week.


Finally I got a call from the Elica call centre & they took me into confrence call with their franchisee on 16th Feb 2018.  To my surprise the franchisee manager was not having any records and I had to explain her the entire episode from scratch and shared the pictures once again( third time, Twice their technicians have shared in past on 2nd and 10th Feb). The Franchisee Manager promised to revert back by evening however did not bother to call till today afternoon.


I Got a call from her Today evening at 7PM i.e. 27th Feb 2018 stating the filter is out of warranty and it can't be replaced free of cost.


My question is very simple how can the mesh of the filter came out of the RIM in just 4-5 round of routine cleaning. Its definately a case of poor quality of the product from the company which claims to be number 1 Chimney company. The company should have replaced the filter in first place insted of making me run from pillar to post for nearly a month.


My expereince is pathetic both on the quality of the product as well as post sales services  and would never recommend this product to any one.
