I walked through the interview process for the position of Area Sales Manager at Yobykes.

Initially, HR executive named Jagdish Mali approached me. He is asking me basic questions such as my experience, current CTC, education, and so on.

After about 15 days, I received a call from their Junior Executive Balu Chavda. He informed me that I would be required to attend a face-to-face interview in Ahmedabad on the following probable dates. I told him Ahmedabad was quite far away from where I had been. I convinced him to do it virtually. But he assured me that I would be reimbursed and provided with a guest house to attend their interview process. Then I decided to go to the interview in Ahmedabad.

When I went to their office. Tapadia, the hiring manager, asked me a few basic questions about my education, hometown, previous roles and experiences, and CTC. When I told him my current CTC was 8.5 lacs, he spontaneously stated that they couldn't even match my previous CTC. I maintain my cool. Jagdish Mali, a human resources executive, has stepped in. And informed Mr. Tapadia that he would handle/fix his anticipated salary. So Mr. Tapadia has shortlisted me for the position, and he has told me that I am in charge of this XYZ territory and the responsibilities of the role.

After two days, I received a call from Mr. Bhavesh Desai informing me that I needed to attend a dealer meeting in Nagpur. I informed him that I had not yet received my offer letter. Mr. Bhavesh assured me that I would receive it within the next 1-2 days. I told him it was fine. Nagpur was nearly 900 kilometres from my hometown. I hastily visited Nagpur. During my journey, an HR executive - Jagdish called me and began negotiating with me. He told me that we couldn't afford to pay you that much. We can't afford you, we don't have that much money we have a budget of 6 to 8 Lakh only, and so on.

Mr. Jagdish ji, I told him. You already have clarity regarding my current CTC. Nonetheless, you've invited me to attend. I won't mind if you flatly told me you couldn't afford that much money. But then, after nearly 900 kilometres of travel, he (Jagdish) told me not to attend the dealer meeting. We will reimburse you for your expenses and we have your job application on Hold. You can now return to your hometown.

This is the most unprofessional company I've ever seen and demonstrates a lack of "ethical standards" in its pursuit of financial success.

I also realised that Electrotherm/ Yobykes HR and management target desperate job seekers and try to trap them by inviting them to a face-to-face interview in Ahmedabad office. After visiting their office, they offer candidates a very low salary and ask them to join their company. The same thing happened with one of the female candidates. She went to the interview for the position of software engineer. She has not also joined this company.

They prioritise money over morale, resulting in a culture of discontent.
