Since morning, it is the love-wave that’s swinging on MS. I was also getting into the mood and unknowingly started humming the above song. And was thinking whether it is having a bi-two chai at nearby Darshini or gulping golgappas [paani-puri] from the same plate or fighting over those mesmerized rum n raisin bar or dinner under open sky – it is always special when love one(s) are around. But there is always something called the surrounding or ambience - which actually sets mood : )]. Tell me how special the bi-two tea gets, if it is chilled or is raining outside and you get to hold your love one’s hand tight. Or having dinner amidst the stars & moon!
Dinner - stars - moon, unknowingly I walked through my memory lane.... it is now time to blindfold you. It is all about an expedition where you can actually fly. Sounds unrelated? I assume you trust me – don’t you! Here is the band, please tie your eyes and ensure you can’t see. I believe you won’t con me.
Don’t worry, I am parking my car. Could you believe, I shall get a parking here for sure despite the place being on MG Road and it is Saturday night. Oh, you need not to remind – I had already booked a table for us in advance. Now we are waiting for the lift. Don’t get impatient, it is going to take time – after-all we to go all the way to 13th Floor. Ok, hold my hand and keep walking, right… left… walk little slow…. Now, do you feel the breeze! Well, just unfold your eyes and take a deeeeep breath…
Scintillating… is not it? I promised you a romantic dinner and here it is.
Now let me reveal - this place is in Barton centre, on the thirteenth floor [do they say number 13 is unlucky?], with an awesome ambience - cool and breezy with good music and the terrific view of jostling city – Bengaluru.
Ebony is not all about the location or ambience, but also one of the best multi-cuisines in Bangalore. Treat your taste buds with true North Indian dishes or exotics dishes from other places.
It is time to order. How about starting with wine! Could anything be better than that? A sip of wine and a bite on the lobster from the non-veg platter – and I see you looking at the slow-moving traffic. Am sure you are excited to be here – isn’t it? I would love to come to the same place again n again with you. The stars, the cool breeze, the music … But nothing can beat the spark in your eyes baby.I know you are loving the place too just the way I do. Would you mind if I hold your hand or kiss you gently [now don’t blame me for getting too romantic]! Would you like to place the order for main course? Oops… it is time to order the main course. There are many to be picked up from the list like biriyani, mutton preparations, grill paneer but I would like to order dhansak and something on mutton for you tonight!
I know, the bill will cause a big pinch in my pocket – but nothing comes free and anything for you ;)
Last but not the least, just before getting into the car I gave her a red rose with a note ‘Samo loves you and would love to fly with you for ever’! ‘Love you too’ she whispered and I felt I am flying … Crossing 13th floor .. up ... up ...up above the sky!
