I have been a frequent shopped on eBay and it had been a favourable experience since a last couple of purchases.
The latest one - Apple Mac book pro battery. I placed the order on 19th June 2013, seller was quick, got it delivered. I realized that it was faulty.
Contacted eBay support. They called me, told me to ship the product back to seller and once he receives, you get your money. "The money you bear as courier charges will be reimbursed back to you in form of discount coupons valid for 1 month for issue."
I sent the product back and the seller was quick again to refund the amount. **Then I get email from eBay support on 9th July that the courier charges will be sent to you in form of discount coupons within 3-4 days. Nothing came...
Then I contacted their chat support on 22nd July was surprised to know the discount coupon comes through phone and not email. I was stunned.. the agent that there was a change of policy, she has escalated and the concerned team will call me in 24-48 hours and will give me the coupon.*
Today is 29th July..no update..Its the customer who is troubled because of idiotic companies like these.
Interesting part is they don't read emails. Just standard email templates which probably was given by the language trainer during the agents training days and the same is just copy pasted to reply to customer... Oops not reply, they just clear their inbox.
Be careful guys..eBay is no longer the trustworthy website and please DO NOT fall for those advertisements.
