Not Dove, but LOVE...

Fragrance:

Though I am no authority on skin care but I have tried Dove Soap several times and found it does live up to the claims made by its manufacturer.

I tend to get very dry skin, but I can't bring myself to use anything other than good old soap and water to wash! I've never had much complaint when it comes to the skin on my body, but after washing my face with soap I have to moisturise almost immediately or my whole face feels tight, uncomfortable and often sore. Recently I thought I'd try something new. I opted for Dove soap due to its moisturising properties, or claims of. It is expensive compared to ordinary soap, but I don't think I could go back to normal soap now. You can feel the moisturiser when you lather it, you get lots of lather and the dry feeling afterwards has gone. If I forget to moisturise these days it's not such a problem. Evidence that it contains lots of moisturiser is seen in the fact that it doesn't crack like ordinary soap. A very effective product, delivering what it claims. And it smells nice!

HOWEVER

It does have two negative qualities! Firstly, Dove soap does not last as long as ordinary soap, perhaps due to it's high lather and/or smaller bars. Secondly, it goes mushy if left in a wet soap dish! I'm still going to stick to it but this does make it seem more expensive. I think I'll buy ordinary soap aswell, for places such as the kitchen sink where it's only used for hands!
