I've had problems with my skin for years, and one thing has been constant throughout that time: every Dermatologist I've seen has recommended Dove soap (some after trying expensive prescription soaps that irritated my skin).
My skin is very sensitive to water; it gets itchy and red after I shower no matter what soap I use. With Dove, the effect is minimized. I still itch, but not for as long or as badly.
The soap itself is silky smooth and makes my skin feel smooth as well. I use the unscented type, but there are also perfumed versions that have a very nice smell. A single bar last a long time - much longer than many other soaps I've tried.
I highly recommend Dove to anyone with dry, itchy, or otherwise problematic skin.
