Don is a complete no-no!

Don is truly a disappointing fare. Honestly, it would’ve been better had they use the original script, rather than the one that they use. There are so many loopholes in this Don, and that it makes you think, is Don worth seeing, and let me say, it’s a NO! Here are some questions that remains unanswered!

1) Boman Irani is supposedly Vardhan in the film, and Vardhan and Singhania were two friends. Boman Irani somehow got betrayed and becomes a cop and wants to extract revenge. Here is the problem, Singhania is like the boss, and should be smarter than Don. So why doesn’t he know Boman Irani is the cop behind this case? Like in every Bollywood gang film, the gang members know who are the cops are, but here, shouldn’t Singhania know that his former friend Vardhan is a cop?

2) In the hospital, Don kills Vijay and supposedly takes Vijay place in the film. Okay, this is such a high-tech hospital, why isn’t there cameras in the rooms? Seriously, you are dealing with one of the most dreadful characters, and yet, there are no cameras in the room?

3) Also in the hospital, when Don hears Boman Irani talk to Vijay about his plan, Don listens to it. However, according to the doctors, he is unconscious. Okay, here is the problem, if he is supposedly “unconscious”, wouldn’t it reflect on his heart-rate that is displaying on the screen? If the doctors were looking properly, they will see that Don is conscious?

4) In the 1978 Don, you can see that the whole gang interacts with each other. In this Don, it’s more like a one man gang doing everything. It would’ve been better if SRK did everything himself then?

5) How does Boman Irani knows that Don will come to Mumbai, and say if he does, why won’t the police go to the airport, and block off the whole airport, and catch Don right there and then?

6) When Jasjit is fighting “Don”, you can see that Jasjit is killing Don despite being crippled. Here is the problem; Don is a great fighter, based on the first couple of scenes in the film. So when Jasjit is on the verge of killing Don, why doesn’t make an attempt to save his life?

7) Don is trying to give Vardhan the disc that contains all the crimes. Okay, but why does Don want to betray his gang members, I don’t see what they did to deserve this?

8) Jasjit was wasted here in this Don, while in the old Don, he plays a pivotal role.

9) Why the hell is Kareena playing Helen role. First off, she is chubby, second off, she can’t dance. She completely ruined a song that Helen made a classic. Whoever recommends Kareena in this song needs completely help.

It will keep going and going, and this is how Don is not a great film!

I was disappointed with Farhan here. His direction was plain average. Plus, the screenplay is poorly written! However, the twist of the end is good!

Special effects and actions are great in this film.

SRK does okay in his role. He was good as Don, but as Vijay, he was over-reacting. But isn’t that the SRK we know. But overall, a okay attempt, but director has to realize that he isn’t the perfect choice as Don.

Arjun Ramphal did his part well; however, his role was wasted in this film.

Its sad to see a great actor like Om Puri wasted in a role. What was the purpose of his role?

Isha Koppikar leaves a mark in her role.

However, the show-stealer here is Priyanka Chopra. Ever looking so beautiful, she rocked in her role. She is only one who did justice to her role, and will make Zeenat Aman very proud. Her stunts were great, and did very well in the film. This gyal is Bollywood future.

Music by SEL is average. I guess it’s the picturization of the song that was ruined. The only song that left a mark was Mourya Re. Even the Khaike Paan was okay on screen.

Overall, Don is a complete no-no. There are so many loopholes in the script that it failed to do justice on the best thriller of all-times. I guess we need Salim-Javed back because if they had wrote the script for this film and the screenplay, it would’ve been way better. People here are saying it’s a great thriller, but what people fails to realize that there are so many questions that remain unanswered after watching the film. To be honest, JEM is a far better film than Don, anyday. A great director like Farhan Akthar ruined this Don, while a new guy like Shrish did great in his first film. Its sad that people are preferring this over JEM, I recommend people to go and see JEM.
