I heard some say....too bad.Some said,not too bad..then some said,you gotta watch it!
And some MS reviews here also made me feel like watching it.
So,i watched it yesterday in a packed theatre FOUR weeks after its release.............
....and it was GOOD.
SRK ,as many have said has not overacted.HE was required to act that way as DON.The brief appearance as Vijay was also very well acted by him.
Priyanka Chopra's role was chopped,it seems. She is looking better witth each movie and her lines are getting fewer.
Ishaa koppiakar is another cameo-kinda role as Don's trusted Anita.HEr role only makes sense in the end.
Boman Irani was TERRIFIC!! the guy has got some great talent. He's done a good job throughout the movie and the second most character in the movie.HE gives us the TWO big twists in the movie.
Arjun Rampal is good
.Kareena was there only for a Song.
I realy liked the style in which the movie was made.It was in Hollywood style but the most important thing was that it didn't go away from the bollywood essence.
It has a great background score and songs are okaay..
You will be blown away by the action sequences!!Theres an exciting car chase through a village,a big fight scene on a helipad-kinda scene and some more-combat scenes. and shootouts which dont look fake unlike the usual b'wood movies.
The best action is the scene in which DON and an enemy are falling down from height about 15000 feet wrestling mid-air..fighting for the parachute. Its truly remarkable.
The plot is very neatly laid out, even then it gets complex, more when Arjun Rampal's story comes in the way.The ending is going to shock you as it comes out in the most unexpected way.
This is a totally diferent movie. It cannot be compared to the original Don in any way as the ending has also been changed and so has the overall feeel of the movie.LEt's treat this movie as a independent one.It has been very well made and deserves accolades for what it has achieved. There are lots of new things to see and should not be missed by a movie buff.
