I purchased my connection in June 2006 and it works very well since then. The quality of both Audio and Video are good too.
When I went to purchase the product, I insisted to have Zenega STB as it is the best one available in the market. Dish TV is also comes with KAON STB, which makes lot of troubles like no signal/ scrambled channel etc.. with even little changes happens in the alignment of the antenna. Zenega doesn't create much problems like KAON. So buy only Zenega STB.
The antenna, which is supplied by the DISH TV needs some industrial alteration work to ensure that it doesn't change with storm or weather changes. I had problems with the antenna in the beginning and the same was rectified on alteration of the antenna fittings. Remember! do not ask or consult with any DISH TV people. They are trained to think only what they have seen in the past and their brain is fixed in the cold storage.
Now, Dish TV comes with almost all channels except major network owned by Maran family - SUN TV NETWORK, which has got 14 channels. Now, Dish TV has started giving SONY & STAR channels.
There were lot of claims by the TATASKY before its launch like it will make a big change in the TV sector. Now it has come out with 55 channels, which are also telecasted by other operators and nothing new. The minimum cost for this is high as Rs200/- per month. All claims of TATASKY seems to be silly. No doubt, DIsh TV works out as cheap at present.
