Exactly that was what I felt way back in 1995 after seeing this movie. I was never a great fan of love stories. Boy meets girl, some songs, opposition from parents, runaway marriage, problems, villains finally they unite or die. I used to call them dull, crap. DDLJ changed the perception. It showed romance is never dull. Each scene of the movie plays with your emotions. Every teenage girl of that time I guess could relate to Simran. The dreamy eyed girl who expects Mr. Right would come one day and take her. What to tell abt Raj. The characterisation of Raj was superb. That naughty guy who has a golden heart. The way Raj talks warms your heart. No wonder Raj alias Sharukh became an instant hero post this movie. There are many scenes in the movie which are memorable. My favourites are
Waving of hand by Raj after the song " Ho Gaya he Tujko tho Pyaar sajna", how romantic
Bird feeding by Raj along with Amrish puri
Climax scene
Superb songs, Screen chemistry of lead pair and a good script added to its charm. Who can forget the dialogue " Senorita is bade duniya mein aisi choti choti baten hoti rahti hai"
Summarising the only thing I wanted after watching this movie was to fall in love.
