Dil se the first movie in Hindi from one of the most talented directors of our country was not the type of
movie people expected from him.
The film is nowhere as compared to the earlier films by Mani Ratnam.
The director tried to do a Roja by dealing with a sensitive subject of terrorism in NorthEastern State, but
got lost in the middle of the movie.
Unlike Roja he could not justify to the problem of Eastern State people like he did in Roja.
The story revolves around Manisha Koirala who for some unknown reason has just one aim, that to create
some type of havoc during Independence Day parades.
The performance of Sharukh Khan as a reader in AIR is good but not up to his normal standard.
Manisha Koirala has given an excellent performance as terrorist women.
The song CHAINYE CHAINYE picturised on top of a running train is the plus point of the movie.
Camera work by Santosh Sivan was excellent.
BUT NOT DIL SE FROM MANI RATNAM
