First, I thought not to write a review on it when I came out of the cinema hall. But, I had promised to write and also now I am at ease, so here it is.
The movie starts with a scene near the Marine Drive, Mumbai with a traveler(Monica Mogra) on board a rented ambassador. I noted a background statement, ``Here people do not come to eat Bada Pav or other eatables but to have fresh air as it`s so rare in a congested city like Mumbai``.
There are three+one scenes which seem un related initially and all run in parallel like the Amir Khan being a renowned painter, Monica an Investment banker from America( came on some mission), Prateik a handsome Bihari Dhobi and the +one is a `dead` character who is a lady but had recorded some of her moments on a handycam cassettee.
I observed a reality sentence by someone on board with Monica saying ``Nothing important happens in Mumbai before 10 AM``
Amir keeps changing his houses for dodging Monica for certain reason and at last gets settled down to a rented house where he finds three small cassettes of a handycam written `Yasmin kee chiththi`. This `dead` women is a muslim girl who gets settled in Mumbai whose brother is somewhere else and they love each other. The handycam was brought by her husband and she was just curious to record whatever came in front of it. Amir was seeing every bit of the recordings with a lot of interest and kept painting as per the situation.
Monica had even a sexual intercourse when Amir was drunk and Monica was at his residence. Next day Amir felt guilty and had a lot of smoking, though Monica was `at ease` But Amir changed his address and started avoiding her. She felt restless to get his address.
Meanwhile the Dhobi was introduced to us as Prateik(munna) He looked indeed dashing. He was basically from Bihar and came to Mumbai as he was not getting enough food in his home state. As Munna was going to many places to deliver the washed and ironed clothes, he was knowing both of them.
Once Munna expressed his desire to have some photographs of him shot by Monica so that it could be useful for becoming an actor. There are some funny postures and scenes during the photo shoot. In between the passion for photography bring Monica to Dhobighat and she keep coming closer to him but with a purpose only( I assume, as till the last scene it was not clear).
In between there is good picturization of Mumbai Rain and in one scene Amir was seen mixing the droplets into his Scotch. But in the other scene Munna was struggling to keep himself dry and putting a mug underneath a leakage from the roof. This is Mumbai.....huge contrasts...
In one interesting scene Munna was spotted keeping his earnings in a tape recorder cassette holder. Also it was heard from somewhere, `` My life is perfect because both of you are in my life``
Also in one scene, Yasmin was heard saying, `` Baakrid ke din hum usii kee kurbaani de dete hain jinhe hum bada kartein hain.``
I would not do justice to this review, if I do not mention some of the `observation` of my life partener

Now there is an emotional `signing off` of Yasmin with the saying ``allah tumhe kush rakhe mere bhai`` and Amir see the roof top where it was a clear indication of suicide by hanging... After this the painting of Amir was shown `complete`. It had indeed come good related to Yasmin story.
Other side Munna started avoiding Monica as the circumtances went indeed horrible against him. But Monica somehow finds him and there is an interesting short `chasing` scene where Monica is seen chasing Munna..lol But after knowing all the happenings she says good bye to him and boards her car and moves.
But, suddenly, Munna starts running and reaches the car and hands over the latest address of Amir to Monica and the movie abruptly ends....oops.
