Dhappa Movie Review

This film is regarded as the triumphant lesson one can seek from a winning childhood. The picture is characterised over two shades as it intersperses it message of inter-faith tolerance and the need for free speech. Girish Kulkarni’s screenplay has patches wide tracts of conversational wit and wisdom. It is shot in a posh housing society in Pune.

This movie goes about giving you sweet reminders of school days like the creation of a secret language that isn’t meant to be understood by grown-ups.

The impact that young actors Akshay Yadav and Sharavi Kulkarni carry throughout their play is stupendous. Just like small children, the characters are totally unaware of the camera, and they wholly account for numerous childlike moments.

The children featured in Dhappa are in all means and ways away from hatred and hostility. This fairy tale movie overall suggests that childhood is perhaps the best place to get rid from all forms of ugly thoughts that lead to an unkind mindset and poor personality.

The film is about kids which live in the same housing who perform a play on the occasion of Ganesh festival with Anuradha Deodhar being the resident writer who comes up with the ideation of thought for the play. When they want to narrate environment-oriented play, they cast characters of Sant Tukaram and Jesus Christ and the very inclusion of Jesus during Hindu Festival threaten the children, with the fright coming from political goons which are responded otherwise.

It is truly mysterious as to why the movie that is National Award winner for Best Film on National Integration took such a long time for its regular release. It is a pleasant play and yet will stimulate your careful consideration for its exemplary performance.

You will be mistaken if you treat Dhappa as children driven because it has the capacity to illustrate the message of freedom of speech with its entertainment and children-oriented drama’s in the form of plays.
