Hi! I recently got my hair transplant surgery(FUE) done(14-15 Dec 2018) at Dermaclinix, Delhi for so-called 3500 grafts by Dr. Amarendra Kumar. I paid 1.82 lakhs for this procedure.I went there with high hopes but what followed was a sordid tale of follicle-theft and fraud.

1.I was told that my frontal area along with crown area will take about 5000 grafts(3500 for frontal area and 1500 for crown area). The total amount for 5000 grafts as told to me was Rs. 280000. Looking at my pocket, I decided to go for frontal area first and later for crown area. I got my appointment booked on 14th & 15th of Dec 2018.

2.At clinic, Delhi, They told me that they need 2 days to perform the surgery as it was not possible for them to extract 3500 grafts in a single day. On the first day, they started the surgery around 12’o clock and till 4 PM, they extracted around 300 grafts. This I can say as I heard the surgeons mentioning about it to each other.

3.On the next day, He was in a lot of hurry to get the entire surgery done by 2 PM only. The surgery began around 10 AM and was over by 6.00 PM. They told me that entire 3200 Grafts were transplanted on that day only. I was suspicious but had no way to check their claim. And as entire affected area was filled with blood clot, it looked black enough.

4.But the reality dawned upon me to in the next 7-10 days as the blood clot got clear. Now, the area did not look as having 3500 grafts. I consulted one friend of mine who works in Richfeel. She told that it does not have more than 1500-2000 grafts. But I did not took her seriously.

5.Then I met my senior, who had got his hair transplanted by the same method at Banglore itself. His head was totally covered(both frontal and crown area) in 5000 grafts. But mine so-called 3500 grafts were only able to cover only 20% of my frontal area, let alone other parts. Now, I am dead sure, I have been cheated. I complained to clinic, but nobody has responded till yet.

6.I shelled out about Rs. 2.00 lakhs for this surgery(1.82 lakhs fee+ 17 thousand travel cost Bengaluru to Delhi), for just 1500-2000 grafts. Why I feel like a loser is that my senior whom I mentioned before, got 5000 follicles transplanted successfully at lesser cost to me(yes, by the same technique). I should have paid heed to his advice but fell for his AIIMS credentials. Their Docs may be AIIMS educated but they are cheaters like hell. This I realised later, unfortunately.

7.Also, I was made to pay before the surgery. Later, when I asked for the receipt, they refused by saying that they can't give this as no GST has been paid.

I am writing this post to prevent anybody else from this cheat. Except receipt, I have all the documents, including video and audio recordings of the procedure. I also have the slip for the payment done. I would advise you all to detest from going to clinic. However, in case of confusion, leave a reply, will surely answer to that
