Dell Inspiron 1545 is wrong choice. Review on Dell Inspiron 1545

Dell Inspiron 1545 is wrong choice. I bought this laptop for office use and I and continuously having issues with this laptop.

#1. User friendly: It's not very cozy to use because it has only 1 LED light that shows it's powered ON. There'r no LED light that shows how Hard Disk, Ram are performing. Function keys are posted on keys that does other functions and you have to press an extra key to make laptop understand that you are pressing function keys but that enabling key that trigger the function key itself had issue with my laptop and I had to pull the on screen keyboard to do Function key operations. Key pad of this model is very low grade.

#2. Reliability & Satisfaction: It's not Reliable because I had issues with my laptop fan. 1 day my laptop didn't switched ON and I checked everything including the Power socket and then I telephoned the Dell support. I was assisted on phone and the executive confirmed that it might be some issue with Mother Board and fan is not starting and I did removed and tried to boot it and other stuff that the executive said to me on phone. Finally my complain was registered. 1 guy from Dell came next day and said Mother board is faulty and it has to be replaced. That guy did not brought the Mother board and he said he'll return back. Finally on his next visit he replaced Mother board and then also laptop did not started. He then took my laptop with him and I was informed some other circuitry was damaged too and has been replaced. My Data was gone I do not know why because they did not informed me that anything happened with it. Later I was informed that mistakenly my hard disk was fitted in some other laptop and again some service man came to switch the hard disk. I was highly dissatisfied with such an occurrence.

#3. Value for Money: This comes with an average camera and you cannot reply on it's camera for Video conferencing. The DVD writer which I never used doesn't work when I checked the second time. USB ports are very nearby and there are just 3 ports and none is 3.0 USB port. Comes with a 6 cell battery which is 2000 mAh back which is good for 2 hours.

#4. Service & Support: Support desk is very prompt but service is very dissatisfying and you can call corrupt. I had a major issue as my hard drive was fitted into a different laptop at service center by mistake and the service guy that actual did that repair was the one that took my laptop from me and he to do the cover up said to me that he could increase the RAM of my laptop free of cost. All I need to do is when someone call and ask what part got changed for your laptop and that now all is well and you are satisfied. I do not want anyone in hot water but it is not professional and I luckily do not have any such sensitive data on my laptop.

This laptop is very basic and if you need it only for nominal use then you can buy it but for any other use I won't suggest you to buy this. It has very low quality speaker. You would seriously feel that speakers are struggling to give sound output and can't watch a movies depending upon it's speaker to listen all clearly. Camera is not even 2 MP, battery is 2000 mAh, processor is Core 2 Duo 2.3 GHz, Hard disk is 320 GB, RAM I had 3 GB. You can increase your budget a little to get a better product from a different brand and avoid this.
