I saw this film because the others in the complex were totally unappealing. I went in expecting the worst...But how wrong I was...
The film is certainly fresh even though one might say it is picked up from Primal fear.. but then that film has Richard Gere... we are already one up here!
The plot is good and well crafted. Even after the interval the film seems to hold your interest, though at times you wish the director would have done well to finish it then and there. What I dont understand is why proceed beyond the interval atall? why cant an Indian audience accept a film that does not stretch on till your kids grow up??
Never the less, performances by both Ajay devagan and Akshaye khanna are brilliant. Somehow AK seems to do very well in this rich-super confident type of roles (remember taal).. it suits his personality and he carries it really well in this film. Ajay Devagaan, as always is once again brilliant in his performance (proving once again that you can look like the back of bus and still be a great actor). Urmila is her usual, BORING!!! I certainly think a raveena or a Priety Zinta would have done a better job.
The casting is good, which is surprising and the number of extras are kept to a bare minimum which is also good (see Hum aap ke dil me rehete hai ...or something like that- anil kapoor and ash, if you want to know why).
The dialogues are good, and not unnecessarily dramatic and the male leads are not possessed with super human capabilities which lends them a nice human touch.
The film is a nice thriller and worth a one time watch.
Am not going to reveal anything about the plot cause I know idiots who do in such reviews and spoil it for everyone.
ALl I can say is... go see it, and you will be pleasantly surprised.
