Once in a while, there comes a movie that is simply refreshing and makes you look at the brighter side of things in life. And Dear Zindagi by Gauri Shinde is one such movie.
A movie that is made with love. It’s not just a feel-good movie, it’s for those who want to explore and live life to the fullest. It showcases the problems of youngsters - relationship problems, the drive to succeed, rebeling against higher authority and against all the odds in life. We have all gone through this at some point in our life, battling with ourselves, our mind and the need to be free.
Now, that’s a whole lot of issues we have to deal with. But how do we overcome and rise above these problems?
When you think its all over and you’re heading nowhere, you bump into the one person who can change the way you think about life and yourself.
Dear Zindagi has some amazing performances by Alia as the budding cinematographer, kaira, SRK as the effortlessly witty Dr. Jehangir Khan or Jug.
Alia fits the bill perfectly as Kaira. She lights up the screen and is supremely confident.
SRK as Jug is simply the teacher or friend we all would like to have. He is as witty and charming as he can be.
Kunal Kapoor and Ali Zafar as the men in Alia’s life do a good job but it was Aditya Roy Kapoor’s surprise guest appearance that made me flip out of my seat!
Music – Amit Trivedi makes some soulful music and has done it once again.
Watch the movie for some lessons on life from SRK:) And yes, try playing Kabaddi on the beach;)
