Daud is a pretty good film. It has a very different storyline than most films do and Ram Gopal Verma's direction was very nice although sometimes he did showed some pathetic comedy which wasn't necassary. Sanjay Dutt and Urmila Matondkar were very good and showed nice acting skills.
Plot: Sanjay Dutt stole a jewel of some sort and both the underworld and police are looking for it. The police are under pressure for it because it involves the international racket. Sanjay Dutt is shown running from the police and hides in Urmila Matondkar's house. After she saves him he goes away not telling her why he was running. The film shows her saving quite often and finally he tells her what he is carrying. She tells to split it 50-50 and she could get him out of the city. They show them both travelling together, falling in love(which was dum but it was a hindi film) and crossing many obstacles. iT IS an entertaining film and a nice masala film.
Acting wise Urmila Matondkar and Sanjay Dutt were terrific. They handled their characters very well but Urmila sometimes would act jerky(very few times). The best part oft his film is it is completely different. This film is overall above average.
