Now a days the trend is to have dinner outside every weekend.
The increasing population is a major spoiler for a nice cozy dinner.
The Darshan restaurant is a bit close to my home and heard some good things about the restaurant so decided to give it a chance.
What happens was it reminded me an experience of a parotha house. where they serve a Puri and potato subji where there is not even space to come out of your table comfortably.
Let me explain.
Food and Presentation: the Food is quite changing in taste as I have been there more than 2 times and everytime the taste was different. first time it was good while the other times it fell of the shelf. completely watery gravy and no taste. The food is served with no elegance. just in simple pattern. still I don't mind. as I was there for good taste and peaceful dinner.
Ambience: the hotel interiors are a bit good. but the sitting arrangement is horrible. There is no space in between the tables. and you can feel as if all other unknown person are taking dinner with you. No sense of peace or space. so much crowd. Now it is a common sense that it may be cheaper than other hotels with good taste but I don't feel that way. I go out for a dinner to feel relaxed and served well. Which was lacking.
Customer service; The Manager taking order was quite busy and took a bit longer time to reach to us for the orders.
Once order taken we received it very quick so can't complaint about that. but later when you have to reorder, you have to keep calling them. while they are busy managing the new arriving customers because of lack of effective staff.
Value for money: The rates of the food items are cheaper or say competitive in comparision to the other restaurants I visited but the taste and the serving capacity in not that good.
Plus the peace for which one goes out you cannot find it. it was too crowded.
I would suggest a garder restaurant where at least you can have some privacy. It is very difficult to manage a small child in such set ups.
