Story:

One of the realistic novel that exposed the dark elements of the society, which reprimands women's abilities . The stigma towardsIndian women can be noticed at every line . The internal and external conflict she's been in was beautifully potrayed by R. K Narayan. The follies of a husband and pathos of a subjugated and subordinated women can be seen thoroughly throughout the novel.We traverse through a world where we find unhealthy relationship and a tragic picture of the society we live in.
