So yes, this series is based on the theme of Time travelling. It starts with a scene of suicide in a small town of Germany named Winden. The further you go, you loose yourself into the plot. The director slowly but profoundly unfolded the interweaved and portrayed the mixed past present future anecdote. The story which twists, entangles, complicates itself and relationships more, in the most unthinkable ways throughout the 3 seasons.
It hits hard in our concept and belief of time and space, thus it confuse us more and more as we continue watching. The set up, arial view, props, the cave. all play important roles displaying different time and era in a same place. The light and colouring adds different visual layers.
The CASTING is beyond praise, I loved it. The narration displays three selves(younger, present and older) of a same person who looks alike. It took more than just casting.
MAKE UP and OUTFIT is of different level, after all it has big role to play depicting "Time".
BG music is the cherry on the top, it makes the ambiance perfect by holding the suspense till end.
The ENDING is another twist but so beautifully crafted. At last it blends in with our world.
Pro tip- Watch every episode minutely. Every dialogue, every character, every prop or set is equally important to keep track.
