Aussie cricketers have always shown their fitness, great professionalism and high
performance in world cricket. Contemporary bowlers like Mc Grath, Gillespie etc
are the best examples of this.
Damien Fleming was a great bowler undoubtedly but he suffered throughout his
career for injury that is so much disappointing as a sports person who is himself a considerably good cricketer.
As a fast bowler Fleming did very fair task for his team, his out swing was especially effective during critical times.
Can you imagine that one player started his test career with a brilliant hat-trick and he was out of the team in the next match because he was injured?
His cricketing life was completely full of contrast.
It is said that in the time of Steve Waugh, Aussie players were human being but in this time the Aussie players are robot. Damien Fleming wasn?t a robot, he was completely a good cricketer and was full of life and humor. He retired from international Cricket in 2003 and now is a coach of Adelaide Academy.
It is a very special true that Damien Fleming wasn?t so much unplayable bowler like Brett Lee or Brad Williams. But his line and length was great.
In slog over Fleming was so much effective. He did have great action and he was a very good fielder of his Own ball.
Fleming took 75 wickets in tests and 134 wickets in ODIs. But I must say that if he hadn?t suffered so much for his injury he could have got much more wickets at the End of his career.
