I would like to share my personnel experience.
I have bought this model on March 2016, from Amutha & co, West Tambaram, Chennai Delivery happened within 2 days and installation happened in next 2days from Daikin Authorized Dealer(Snow city), beware these guys are not from Daikin, they are just contractors.
During installation I realized that the indoor unit looks different than the one which I already own(same model), when I checked the same with the service engineer, he said it is latest version so they made some cosmetic changes and believing that I overlooked it(this is my 1st mistake), and even the remote is different which had some feature missing eg: Auto Horizontal Slider and I assumed that they removed this feature(this is my 2nd mistake).
After couple of months I had booked for maintenance service, and to book that I checked model and serial number in the indoor unit and I realized the model number(FTKH50QRV16) is different for the indoor unit.I was in full surprise after checking the spec and price, as it is almost 4k lesser than the one I bought.
At first I spoke(atleast 3 times) to Daikin customer support on this regards and the response was that they will inform the concern team and after I started bugging them, at one point of time they said they are outsourced and they do not have any control on this issue and asked me to contact Robin in Daikin Chennai office directly, when I contacted him, he replied he can't help as it is not in his control and besides that he said it is your mistake that you did not check the product when it was delivered to you.This was the worst support I have ever received from a product company knowing that they delivered a wrong product.How the hell will customer check whether all the alphabets are correct or not, it's a trust on Daikin that they don't make mistake and however it is all spoiled with that reply.
My question was very simple even though the customer misses out how come the service engineer installs it and it is his duty to check before installation or atleast while writing the installation receipt he should have noticed and informed me.
After losing hope on Daikin Chennai office, I have taken this issue with Amutha & co and they accepted that it is mistake, however when they checked with Daikin distributor, they asked to use the same as it is not creating any problem .When I raised my concern that I have received low end product and also the indoor & outdoor is totally different combination. Amutha & co supported me that they will make sure to change the indoor unit. Thanks to Suresh from Amutha & co for his extensive support, (however I end up visiting the shop atleast 15 times for the past 3 months).
During that time, I got the contact number of Daikin distributor(Mahindran) and whenever I call him he used to tell that within 2 weeks we will send the new unit and I did not know that in there language 2 weeks means 3 months and he always claims that there is no stock available, and from him I got one more contact number of a person named Dharmesh(No idea what's his role).When I spoke to him, he said he will deliver within a week and as usual nothing happened.After 2 weeks of his commitment I received the product last Saturday, exactly again with a different indoor unit(FTKP50RRV16) and Dharmesh claimed that it is 2016 model and they don't have QRV series now, which he never informed to me during any of my earlier conversation.At the end he rudely said that we can only provide RRV series if you want take it else contact the dealer.I have no idea on the provided data and I got a call from my dealer saying that it is all same model and there won't be any issue with the warranty.I have asked for a written mail on the same, but still waiting for it and I know it is gonna take another couple of moths.
Lessons Learnt:
1.Never trust service engineers, they always want to complete the installation asap so that they can attend another customer.
2.Check your product before installation, whether your bill & delivered product are same, I got to know that there are couple of cases similar to mine.No idea you can also be a victim.
3.DO NOT contact customer support except booking for service, there is no use of that worthless outsourced team.
4.Forget about Chennai office, unprofessional executives.
This review is truly based on my experience and to give some caution to new buyers & existing customers.
Apart from that product is good, because it is Japanese.
