story-It picks up where Dabangg1 left.Chulbul pandey,now happily married shifts to Kanpur with his wife,father and brother.Surprisingly,this time there is no animosity between Chulbul and pop\bro.Happiness prevails in the house.
Bacha bhaiya(prakash raj) is the goon of Kanpur.an aspiring politician,who knows "sare netagiri k gun" and chulbul pandey aka kung fu pandey lead the movie forward with their arguments\dabangg dialogues..the climax,as in dabangg1,is "chauchak!".(but lacked the extra punch and action)
Dialogues-Funny and full dabangg..they live upto the mark.audience had really high expectations with the dialgoues of the part 2(expectations set high by its predecessor) and it lived upt the mark..actually they are even better.
Direction-
Arbaaz khan directed the movie in a really praiseworthy fashion.the comic timing and action scenes are all well placed.Not even once it looses its grip from the audience.AK may have failed in his attempts as an actor,but he surely wins extra brownie points through his directorial venture.
Star cast-
Sonakshi as Salman's wife dint had much to portray apart from few dialogues and the coy demeanour.She looked convincing and beautiful as an obedient wife from Uttar pradesh.
Vinod Khanna,Arbaaz all of them did justice to their character.
Prakash Raaj is turning into the new Amrish puri of Bollywood.Wanted,Singham and now Dabangg2.Strikingly well performance.But I wish he could have added some extra punch in the climax scene.He died too soon.
Salman khan-Film industry's dabangg!When he was acting,it dint even once felt that he was actually "acting".it feels as if this is the real salman..he is the undisputed dabangg,on screen or off screen.His entry scene and the theater resonates with the sound of whistles..Thats his tashan!!
He is an actor who can pull any movie just on his name.Dabangg2 minus salman is nothing.zero!He converts 0 to 100..and watch it!this time he has got a new "hud hud dabangg" step and he becomes a dabangg father too!
Music-
I personally found the songs much better than Dabanng 1..Fevicol is better than munni and pandey ji bajaye siti has that ethereal Uttar pradesh feel to it.
Loved the songs.
Verdict-
In a span of a month,all three khans had a movie to their credit.SRK with JTHJ,AK with Talaash and Sallu with Dabangg2..as the saying goes "best for the last!!"
It would be a crime to rate a salman khan's flick,especially Dabangg salman's movie with something less that 4 stars:)
