I moved to Mumbai recently and after some enquiry I found Videocon DTH is popular here. So I approached an electronic store who is a dealer of Videocon DTH as well! He showed a pamphlet that says "ANY ONE REGIONAL LANGUAGE CHANNELS" are free. I asked the dealer if Telugu channels are free. He replied Yes. then I opted for that plan. After the installation, I was not getting the Telugu Channels. I called the customer care and they replied only Marathi channels, which is regional language of Mumbai are free and for Telugu I have to subscribe additionally. I then asked him, if that is the case then why the pamphlet is mentioning "ANY ONE REGIONAL LANGUAGE"? It should have mentioned "ONLY LOCAL REGIONAL LANGUAGE". The customer care tried to escape by saying the pamphlet is old, which is of course not convincing. They keep telling they are giving Marathi channels free and I keep saying what I have to do with the channels which I don't understand the language and I just blindly believed the pamphlet.
Later they upgraded the plan automatically by saying free for 2 months, and just after one month they were asking automatically to recharge for higher amount, for the upgraded plan. Again I had to call customer care to downgrade, as I don't need upgraded one.
This is such a highly unprofessional way these guys deal. I used Airtel DTH before this in CHennai for 6 years. Eventhough I faced some problems with them, they are much more professional in the way they deal. I will never ever refer Videocon DTH to anyone!
