Employees of this branch are nailing it when it comes to finding out different ways to insult a customer. Way to go D-Mart!

This is the second time I'm being annoyed and even hurt by your customer service.

-> I have 3 main issues to complaint about with some questions for you.

Let's go to my major complaint first-

1. There was this super cool employee(woman) at clothes section who made sure to teach me a lesson on how customers have to be your servants. I'll elaborate on this.

She was there on a ladder organizing things on racks, at least that's what I think(because I feel like 30 something minutes to fill one side of a rack is a lot of time) was going on. When we were checking tops section she was there in the middle of the pathway with the ladder, then later(after 20-30 mins, not sure of the timings) when we were checking long skirts section(opposite side of the previous section), she was there in the middle of the pathway again blocking everyone passing by or checking out skirts.

Meanwhile, my aunt has selected one of the skirts she wanted and I went back to leave the unwanted one in the skirts rack. There was no hanger(obviously), so I left it on the stand. This employee of yours just called me very rudely, in a condescending way and shouted at me to put it in the basket(I'm just wondering if you think your customers as some kind of animals who need to be disciplined).

You wanna know where the basket was? On the opposite section, hidden in between Two clothes stands in between few cloth hangers.

I got angry, so asked her seriously, what basket are you talking about? She tilted her face and showed me with eyes, not even trying to speak out to answer me.

I also asked her whose basket is that? You wanna know what your employee said? nothing. She said nothing and to make sure I obey her order moved her eyes again(this time no head tilting) towards the basket showing me to put it in.

I didn't want to make a scene so I figured out where the cart was and put the skirt in it.

My question for you here is-

- What makes you think that we assume a random basket standing in between two sections is for throwing clothes for your employees' convenience and that it's not for customers?

- Even if it is to leave clothes by customers, did you or your employees inform us prior to our visit or at the time of our visit, that there'll be baskets at every section available, to leave the unwanted stuff after trial?

I would like you to inform your employees( if you can, since you're so lazy to train them) that most of the customers will be in hurry and they just wanna try out the clothes they wanna purchase and leave the rest at hangers or stands whichever convenient options you have provided us. Tell them not to expect customers to neatly pack the clothes and put it right back as it was before.

The worst part is, no such basket is available at any other sections.

This was your employee's basket in which she had stuff to organize in the racks previously and she just wanted me to make her job easy by ordering me to do her work.

If you think I'm being over dramatic answer to my next question.

You know what your employee did then(after I put the skirt in that basket), she kept MURMURING SWEARINGS IN LOCAL LANGUAGE. Now please don't think I'm an idiot to not understand what she just did after that. Sad part is I cannot prove this to public since she was murmuring AND ALSO HAD A MASK. I was too stunned to make a move at what just happened then.

What kind of mindset is that?

What kind of people are you hiring?

Are you hiring people with some mental issues?

Don't you do background checking before hiring?

Again, I didn't say anything because I didn't wanna get dragged into some kind of nasty fight as I'm not sure what kind of person she is. Before we left the place for another section we saw two tops dropped on the floor behind her and we saw a kid stomping on one of it. My aunt made a comment about it too, because your beloved employee was so busy teaching me lesson she didn't even care to look on the floor where her other clothes are being used as doormats. Me, who at least had the courtesy to hang it on a stand with empty space, was the villain.

After like 20 something minutes later, we came to the same section looking for tops, your employee was still there in same position, same section, same rack too and the tops were still on the floor, only this time she turned back to look at us and you know what she did? I'm guessing, no, I strongly believe, she saw that top on the floor now(I'm positive about this) and thought it was me who left it there because of the previous incident with me. You know what she did then, she started MURMURING AGAIN! WITH SWEARS!

I don't know about you but to me, it felt like she wanted to vent her anger on someone or something and found me! A customer! What other explanation can I give to this bizarre scenario? It's either that or she is mentally ill.

For a second I thought I was in a dream since this kind of situation never happened to me in real life, anywhere.

I'm a Keralite, I've visited many stores in both states since my childhood and not in single one of them had I had this kind of experience where a customer is treated like a servant. Kudos to your team of employees and their outstanding customer service skills.

I asked her what's your problem? Do you want me to make your job more easier by putting this top in basket too? In a mocking way. She said in a condescending tone "yes put it in the basket now" and started murmuring right infront of me.

That's when I was sure that I'm never visit your store. Because clearly you are hiring people with anger management issues or even worse, mental issues, so what guarantee is there for us customers to feel safe in your store?

Now I want you to think of you as an individual and imagine this scenario happening to yourself in some store/shop and let me know, honestly, how you feel about it? and what would you do about it?

If you don't have an answer then you're too selfish of a person and a huge dissapointment to the society and to your business as well.

If you have an answer then you'll understand how I'm feeling now and what I'm going through.

I have to go through major distress and frustration everytime I visit your store. Why? You owe me an answer to this.

Let's go with my other questions now-

2. When it comes to sprays/perfumes available at your store, how are we supposed to figure out which fragrance we need to choose without testing it first? Why are there no tester bottles available? When my aunt try to select one bottle by testing it, your beloved employee(another woman) very rudely and again in a condescending tone asked her to not to test it, as if we were using it. Again, my question here is, do you think we(customer) are some kind of animals or something to teach discipline? Well, that's exactly how she yelled at us.

3. Why are your employees sweeping and organizing stuff on racks with ladders when the store is really crowded? I complained about this previously and clearly you did nothing about it.

You know that, this particular branch is not spacious at all and it gets really crowded because of this issue, especially during festival time.

One of your employees was sweeping in the middle of a crowded section and she swept all the trash on to us when we were checking out shirts. There were people(along with me and my aunt) standing at that section but she didn't care for the world to look at us even though we were literally staring at her for doing so. It's like we were invisible to her.

4. Why on earth do you have that many employees in the store and customers could find not single one of them when in need? What customer service are they providing? Every time when we need help or assistance with something no one's available at any section. But you know when we find them? When they need to vent out their anger at someone. Yep, they're using you customers to deal with their anger management issues, that's the customer service your employees are providing us.

Last time I complained about your store, they called me and apologized for rude behavior. That's why I visited again, hoping that changes are made.

I guarantee you nothing has changed with your employees and it's worse now, in my opinion. And I'm not sure you care that much about customer complaints anyway.

You/Your employees made sure that I don't trust you ever again with your mind blowing customer service skills.

You either don't care about your customers at all or you don't care about your employees, either way, customers are facing the repercussions.

I promise you no one from my family, friends, neighbours and of course me as well, will ever visit your store again, I'll make sure of it!

Thanks for giving me one of the worst days in my life!
