I received Crompton Greaves PAC201 Air Cooler as a gift from my sister recently. Considering the extreme summer heat in Kolkata, this gift came as a welcome relief. Moreover, in my opinion, it will score quite high if its aesthetic appeal is taken into consideration. However, our joy was short lived as I soon discovered several flaws within this air cooling unit.
First and foremost, the airflow and cooling capacity of this air cooler failed to impress me and my family members. Frankly speaking, I expected a lot more than what I actually experienced in the last two months. So, I finally decided to get in touch with their customer care last week. But I ended up getting very much disappointed with the way the customer care people handled the entire issue. They repeatedly kept telling me that there’s no problem in the purchased product. They also told me that the problem was as a result of the way I am using the air cooler. This I thought was absolutely ridiculous as all my family members(including me) knew it very well when it came to operating an air cooler. Most importantly, it became an extremely difficult task to get a conversation going as their toll free number frequently got disconnected without any prior notification. On the other hand, the option of getting a reply through an email message proved to be a pure waste of time.
The noise generated from this unit is on the louder side, and I recently noticed plenty of water leakage from this unit as well. Considering everything, I am not sure at all whether the problems will get rectified in the near future! For all these obvious reasons, I would not like to recommend Crompton Greaves PAC201 Air Cooler to anyone.
