I purchased a Croma make inverter type split AC online from Croma website, vide invoice number SLTC on 15th April 23. It was delivered to me on 17th April 23. As per the details appearing on Croma site, it was qualified for same day installation, free of cost.
Today is 25th April, 8 days have already elapsed after delivery and 10 days after purchase of the AC, against their promise of installation on the same day of delivery, installation of the supplied AC has not been done till date.
I am narrating the chronology of the events that took place during the intervening period from the delivery date, i.e., 17th April, 23.
On 18th April, a gentleman called from Croma and intimated that the AC would be installed on 19th April 2023.
On 19th April I was waiting for technicians from Croma to come for installation, but nobody appeared and my entire day was wasted.
I also called on Croma helpline number 18005727662 twice in between, and both times promptly service request numbers were generated by them, but actual service did not materialise.
On the 21st of July at about 10:00 a.m., a technician from Croma visited my place and submitted a quotation for Rs 4570/-(installation was supposed to be free, this is for other charges). I agreed, subject to issuance of formal receipts against my payments. On hearing this, the technician told me that he was not ready with the equipments needed for installation and left, assuring me that he will come back at around 14:30 hours. He neither came back, nor informed.
In the meantime, I had taken up this issue with Croma in Twitter, Messenger and wrote to Croma Customer Services via email. Nothing really happened except for empty assurances that the issue would be resolved as soon as possible. The funniest reply came from Croma Customer Service team against my email, saying that the product is of Blue Star instead of Croma make and it is 1.5 tons instead of 1 ton. They must be dreaming things.
Finally, it appears to me that Croma installation teams do not care about instructions from their sales team. The sales team is really helpless and buying time by giving false promises to customers.
SEEING THE MISERABLE QUALITY OF SERVICE ON INSTALLATION OF A NEWLY PURCHASED PRODUCT, I AM EXTREMELY WORRIED ABOUT THE SERVICE THAT I MAY REQUIRE DURING AFTER SALES PERIOD.
Frustrated with these incidents, I raised a service request no. C000804051 on 21st April, 23 on the Croma website, for return and refund of the product. The product delivered by Croma on 17th April, 23 is lying unpacked at my premises in the same state as it was delivered.
All of a sudden on 24th April, 23, without my consent, Croma has unilaterally closed the above-mentioned service request no. C000804051 raised by me for return and refund of the AC, as issue resolved. Further, I am not able to register my objections against the unilateral closure of the service request no. C000804051 by Croma, as I have been blocked by the Croma team to reply their mail intimating me that my service request has been closed as resolved.
