I got cheated at Croma Store Kothrud Pune, by the sales manager(don’t want to name her)and 2 sales executives at the store.
Coming to —How did this happen? Well, couple of months back, I bought Sony Bravia 65 TV, where I was offered 2yrs extended insurance by the sales team with a discount of Rs. 3000. I got my bill done and came home happily.
When installation person came I got to know that I didn’t get Sony Insurance, instead it was from Croma. Once back at home, on checking I found that there are 2 issues that were missed by the sales guys.
Firstly, No one in store explained me that Croma insurance policy and Sony insurance policy are different and what I have been offered is not SONY company Insurance but Croma's own.
Secondly, they just told me about 3000/- discount on insurance for 2 years warranty, but this was not given, when I checked at home, the bill clearly has complete insurance amount deducted from my card and the promised discount was not given.
When I was in a store before they generated bill, I overheard the Sales Manager Madam, shouting at the sales lady for some Rs. 3000 on insurance. I thought it's internal matter and as they have promised me, the offered discount will be given and I never doubted their intentions and swiped the card for the amount they asked for. Back home I was surprised to see that they cheated me. I never thought being a “TATA “ Brand, a symbol of trust( there is another big brand showroom on the opposite side of Croma which I didn’t go for Trust reasons and preferred TATA), their employees can goof up like this. Now as I see it, it’s cheating and also keeping the customer ill-informed is very wrong on the part of sales team leading to unnecessary litigations and bad name to organization.
Upon confronting at one point they accepted and offered me options where on my next purchase I will get 3000 Rs discount and I can directly call sales manager and get the same. Now since 2 weeks, I am behind the sales manager and she is just fooling around giving some or the other excuse. Whatever the product I am asking for, though it’s shown available online, but I am getting answer that this product is not available with Croma. Also, they promise to call back with status, but no calls nothing I am only following up.
After 2/3 weeks of following up today's morning I tried raising my grievance online, where in I called the number given on Croma site but to my surprise again this was not a call gone to grievance officer. Whoever answered my call has told me I will get a call back. I was clear that please arrange it by EOD. So still waiting for the call. Guys help me to reach it to the high-level of CROMA. Also a word of caution to all the people who plan a purchase from this store.
